Till this day, believe it or not, i haven't raced with any guy on the road, no sir. And i will try not to, ever. I ride above 6k rpm on some early mornings 2 or 3 times a month, on one particular road only, with some cool corners and a nice straight. I've said this already

Yes, i absolutely like to race with other dudes, but only on a track with full riding gear. Don't know when it's gonna happen

You need not to explain it buddy

All of us are just putting forward our thoughts

So, sab chill maaro

500 metres..Okay,now that's reasonable.

I too can get around 115-120kph for this long stretch but after that the darn speedo freezes.Cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong??

P220 DTSi is a monster.RTR is no match for it. RTR 180 can only compete/remains ahead uptill 110km/hr against the R15. RTR is quicker than the P220 DTS Fi, though in the run 100-110km/hr.

+1 to P220!

It's a monster but only after 110kph.And for the R15,a week ago we guys(P220,r15,zma and RTR180) were on the expressway. As we all know, the p220 ruled ahead all of us.Second was the R15 and third being me.We three were full throttle. The Pulsar slowly started to disappear but the R15 was ahead by only 100 meters or so. 'One more horsepower with a bit of fiddling in the sprocket and I will have him'-This is what was going in my mind for all long!

But after riding the R15,P220 and RTR180 back to back on that stretch it was noteworthy how stable the first two are at high speeds.Highway is definitely not our forte,menacers..

Guys i am planning to buy a RTR 180... How is the bike? Will i face any maintenance issues in the future? Please to guide me. i have taken a test drive and it impressed me a lot..

If you are passionate about sport bikes and on a limited budget, the RTR 180 is the best choice. This one is second, only to the R15.

The Apache RTR 180 will mightily impress you with its over square screamer engine, brilliant chassis (will support your skills and improve it to a great extent) and the best brakes (even without abs). You will like the data logging console as well as the tuned exhaust note.

This is a compact sport bike and if you are over six feet tall, might not suit you. Don't expect engine refinement and ride quality of a Uni from this one (the suspension comes a li'l stiff for giving max feed back from the tarmac to the rider). The rider handlebar/foot peg position is sport oriented, so if you are a tourer, you might need to take short breaks along the way.

Any bike can come up with troubles in future, only thing is we've got attend it ASAP.

If you decide to buy a menace, go for the ABS version. Chances of falling down while panic braking is almost nil over any type of surface.

Came to know you are a RE fanboy

. So think twice before going for this one, cos the two differ so much.

Scoop!!

^^^ pic taken when the desairi customs people were customozing the velocity for the 2010 jakarta auto expo... pretty old pic...

**abhishekch** · 08-11-2011, 11:30 AM

desairi customs has customozing the velocity. i wonder why a big company has given their bike to others for customozing them. i know big companies give order to OCC to built their promotion bikes. but here the company itself is a bike maker.

Can I use FZ's front tire for RTR 180's front?

**Rtrlover83** · 08-11-2011, 01:33 PM

^^
The FZ-16 uses 100/80-17 upfront, so would be li'l oversized for the RTR 180 which uses 90/90-17. You could consider Pirelli MT75/SD which has the same size front tires but might have more weight

ouched 134 km/hr

Btw, 120km/hr is the one mark this bike would reach easily (that's some thing very cool). Pls don't strain the engine to go above that point often.

I guess, top end is not the priority of the RTR 180. It's tuned for a more ballistic mid-range thrust. How many of you know that this is the ride which is the quickest till 80km/hr? (put aside the Ninja, CBR 250's) The P220 won't catch it till there, and the YZF-R15 till 100km/hr.

Dude's Ride Safe. You don't want to hurt yourself nor your babe, and of course the people around you

I have touched 134 km/hr mark

just two days back on open highway early in the morning. picture attached of the same.

**Rtrlover83** · 08-11-2011, 02:33 PM

^^
That's the top end TVS claims, a true speed of 124km/hr.

Again, Ride Safe bro

I bought an RTR180ABS exactly 2 weeks ago, and I've done 600+ kms on the odo till now. Will be giving it for the first service soon. What all do I need to keep in mind?

Also, I plan on installing a K&N high performance air filter some time later. What do you suggest?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated cuz I'm relatively a n00b in this field.
