          • @ All ABS owners, do make it a habit to ride the bike WITHOUT the ABS every now and then. That is ride with the ABS switched off. Else it will be a very risky thing to switch to any non ABS bike.

It has been a fantastic bike right frm day one........drove it under 50 kmph till 1st service after that at around 900 kms i took it for a blast......checked its top speed and it ..resulted in 121 kmph.......but after tht speed i suspected that the low top speed is a result of the engine oil as my whole bike was stock......i changed it to castrol power 1 (semi s) nd then it went upto a good 126.

THe engine is super smooth and always rtr( ready to rip) ....it has a fantastic acceleration even at high gears....the braking has been totally impressive.....with double disc brake it feels like crusing above 100 even in cities.....

Some of the main issues i faced....was tht

                1.my leg guard broke
                2.The super slippery TVS Tyres
3.Unrefined engine response due to TVS tru4 premium oil...
4.The handle got loosened due to my stunting

As i m a biking freak i got the idea of k&n frm xbhp and installed it along with Splitfire ignition cables and Ngk iridium spark plug........i felt my bike bike more grunty....but soon it settled down and to rteduce the vibes iu used......Valvoline premium 20w50 .. AFter Installing k&n my bike tourched 132...but now i need some carb tuning...

I installed a 8000k HID with smt-led pilot lamps and changed the rear tyre to 120/80-17 and the front one to 90/90-17 both mrf zappers....

OVER ALL IT HAS BEEN AN IMPRESSIVE BIKE>>>>I WOULD SUGGEST ANYOEN BUYING A NEW 150> SEGMENT BIKE SHLD HAVE A TEST DRIVE OF IT....POSTING THE PICS TOO
Welcome to the tribe. Don't take it as offense but this is something what I want to mention so that the new guys don't get wrong information.

NO, the bike goes for more even with TVS TRU4. The oil won't going to increase the top whack.

Its so immature and ain't recommended. I would suggest you to avoid doing it in future. It ain't that we can't do that or we've never done that, but its not good for you, for the other road users, as well as for the whole biking community. This is why the word BIKER is like criminal(socially) to most of the non-motorcycling people these days.

Neither do you need to use a more viscous oil after fitting K&N, nor does it increases the bike's top whack. It just reduces the time the bike would take to reach that speed.

Though its purely the owner's choice about how he modifies the bike, but upsizing the tyre and using K&N, splitfire cables etc. to increase performance at the same time is nowhere a wise thing. You could have better used a soft compound tyre of same size.

Welcome to the, yeah, you know!

AFAIK, the Nero is 100% water repellent but you'd sweat a bit more on hot days and while waiting at signal stops (the vents would help to an extent though).

The Maze looks great, but is practical mostly on dry/hot whether conditions, and yeah, would keep you cooler than the Nero. It won't keep water at bay as the Nero does.

The Nero would be an overall good buy
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

i am getting abysmal 34-37 kmpl under mixed conditions and it sucks! i have tried all the methods in book in order to increase the mileage the best i have got is 40 kmpl when ridden in the splendor mode 45-50 kmh.please help me out guys i am sick and tired of this pathetic mileage!!!!!!!!

also when the engine is cold the vibes are almost nil(during mornings) and during afternoons it vibrates like hell (35km/h and above)

39 km/liter is the FE my menace gives under the said conditions. Think it's pretty reasonable for a true racing machine...

I keep trying to restrict the max speed @ 52km/hr and revs below 4500 during my weekdays commute. Check's tire air pressure every Sat, tries to keep the drive chain clean and lubed as well.

Abysmal! Sorry about that, but I feel you have been lucky enough to get figures of above 35kmpl. More is never enough, like they say.

Some updates about my bike. The bike vibrates horribly from front. At speeds over 60 kph+hands-off (Thanks to social for this technique, I had nearly killed myself ), front starts to wobble slowly and the whole thing begins to jiggle! I can't understand whether it's the suspension or the wheels that are out on alignment. Tried inquiring about this at Aditi TVS and there reply,as usual, was this," Kya bhaiya,Apachiiiiiii toh vibrate karti hi hai"

Please, feel free to advice anything xbhpians. I would like to hear from each one of you. Everyday, I ride with my hands glued to the handlebar. It's no more a handlebar now, it's my life now..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Btw, that dealer ought to have done something and stop that stupid talk about vibes, that ain't such a big issue with the RTR180, Period.
