and yeah the TVS guys do let us use other oils. According to what RTRlover said the SVC guys will change the oil for you if you ask them here in Trivandrum.
When I Ride my bike I don't feel like a common man.
I feel special.
I feel something which is beyond words.
That is the thing which makes my bike special, me special, the whole ride seem exceptional .

p.s.=gross o.t.I guess that cleared my doubt thenOriginally posted by cs1183 View Postapache 160 is 70k in my city and 78k in banglore. I guess this is due to banglore, mumbai being costly cities. I think delhi is cheapest
....anyway TVS bikes in Trivandrum come from Chennai I guess

"

still having the problem ..it happens on the 3rd gear where the bike goes in goes into a false neutral and dosent accelerateOriginally posted by cs1183 View PostI don't think that's a problem since the bike was stationary and you weren't giving throttle to match the revs for downshifting. So gearbox is ok. Maybe changing oil to different brand will help. You're using tru4?
For the bold part, Cluch plates could be problem because symptoms are of that but I think your chain maybe loose because I was feeling same yesterday so I got it checked from SVC and the mechanic said that chain was loose and he added some kind of oil and also adjusted it and the bike felt great later while accelerating. Get it checked for same from SVC.
any suggestion what might be wrong? It dosent happen all the time maybe 4-5 out of 10 times.Mine bike has done just above 1600kms and i dont push the bikes to the limits much ,sane riding most of the time.

I also had this problem alongwith many other rtr owners but it goes away with time like after 3000km. this problem leads to some unwanted situations in traffic so ride safe. But you need not worry as it will go away with time. Even ninja owners had this problem when bike was new and later it vanished. Maybe gearbox takes time to settle.Originally posted by jude.manutd View Poststill having the problem ..it happens on the 3rd gear where the bike goes in goes into a false neutral and dosent accelerate

I'm still using tvs tru4 and gear shifts are butter smooth, and i think better oil will lead to butter butter smooth shifts
If you can't live with it till 3000km then upshift after 4k rpm. That will help

dude... 35k kms with that tireOriginally posted by chicane1879 View Post
Btw the RTR crossed 35k kms and the engine decarb has also been completed The bike still is a stonker and has been niggle free(touchwood!). The rear tyre has been nearing its life but myself and my brother are yet to have any concerns from it as far as handling is concerned. Only while hard cornering, we need to be a wee bit alert as the rear feels nervous.

?? awesum.I am scared, seeing its condition and you are riding it at that speed (referring to your recent Video)
!! Seems like i have been missing some basic riding skills, thats why almost crashed twice(in rain ofcourse) within 25k kms after which I eventualy changed the tire.

Hi Apachains?
Lot of Guys say That 180 has lesser vibrations compared to 160 Hyper Edge..
is it true?

@Chicane : I still remember when you first changed the original tyres with MRF's dazzler one and got the rims painted golden. Looks like you have been riding quite a lot since then. The tyre is totally bald. Would you be going again for MRF?Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

I doubt that. Though not sure about the ABS 180 version.Originally posted by sangy27 View PostHi Apachains?

The old apache 180 has considerable vibrations than Hyperedge.
But again it depends on many conditions like oil used and climatic conditions...---------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is real crap by SVC guys..You can demand not to change the oil..Atleast you dont need to waste money by simply draining it..I did the same for my bike. I said not to change oil as I have filled it recently...After all its your bike and they have no business in imposing stuffs on usOriginally posted by iChaitanya View PostGave my bike for servicing. SVC guy flatly refused to fill any other engine oil than TRUcrap.
Will drain that crap and fill fresh Shell once I get my bike back.

Told them the same reason last time and they didn't change the oil that time and now they're saying you'll have to fill TruCrap as oil change hasn't been done @ last servicing. If I don't use TruCrap, then my warranty will be void - that's what I was told.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostThat is real crap by SVC guys..You can demand not to change the oil..Atleast you dont need to waste money by simply draining it..I did the same for my bike. Will use this TruCrap for a few weeks and then fill Shell oil.
