Damn, my dipper bulb has fused now.
Any suggestion for alternatives, guys?

the 150 section tyre is a radial tyre not the conventional one, it takes the shape of the rim. it fits so nicely, if u look at it, it appears just like a 120 section tyre, being a radial the added width rounds up nicely giving you almost a collar less tyre, which is the exact reason for excellent cornering grip.
the engine is exactly like it was when new, no issues, no changed noises, no loss in the pull at all.
The sound you are hearing is because the steering cone on your bike is a bit loose resulting in a play, the wobbling is also due to the same reason. how many kms has your bike done? get the steering cone play adjusted, also check if the tyre doesn't have waves/ undulating wear off.
Yea I was myself surprised with the sprocket life. I have been cleaning and lubing it every 500kms without fail. Since the 24k kms service, I have been asking the service guys to check the sprocket, every time I got the same reply from them, Sir it's good. last time I checked it a few days ago, they told me it should last another 3-5k kms. My odo reading right now is at 49899kms
However, my friend who was flying down from US, has got me the chain sprocket set, after market one. I had ordered golden, but they delivered a yellow one.I hated the color as soon as I saw it, but it saved me 10 grands, who cares about the color :P
Since my replacement set is already here, I can run on the stock one without worries. I'm eager to check how long it can still run. The chain has comparatively stiffened a bit I believe though!
Clutch is stock as well, I don't feel any difference in its feel yet!
It would be great if you could PM me the source for the chain-sprocket set and congrats for the 50k!!

Has the 150 section tyre put any adverse impact on performance/fuel economy?

The 150 section tyre has no impact on the performance/fuel economy. It's lighter than most 130/70-17s.
I'll PM you the details
Thanx
it'll soon be 53k, doing a week long Rajasthan ride starting 9th !The Inception - https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/...inception.html

Is that chain available in green?
Is this the standard steel sprockets or any other like aluminium, etc.?Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I've done 5700kms only in around 21-22 monthsI'm a weekend rider, that too sometimes. I'm more of a corner junkie so I've got some race inspired stuff on. All this sums up to less riding.

and by "some race inspired stuff" do you mean after market products ? If yes, I am more eager now than the previous postThe Inception - https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/...inception.html

Ok so I'm currently focused on handling and rider comfort than power. Cos this machine has more than what's required in the city. I've got adjustable brake and clutch levers. They don't only look fancy but are very functional. I use 2/3 fingers only. I avoid using all 4 fingers to operate the levers, so got these short ones.
Along with this I've got race inspired brake lever protectors. Not too functional in city riding by helps in keeping the lever safe during heavy traffic navigation.
I also purchased Yoshimura rear set brackets. I previously had fully adjustable rear sets but they didn't fit properly(especially on brake side) and the gear lever became hard so I dropped them. Yoshimura's are cool, light weight and exact fit.
Apart from this I recently got aluminium foot pegs with titanium scrapping pin below. Again, not the best of the products but does the job well. It doesn't offer much grip but enough for city riding.
And since I'll be servicing my bike at home, recently purchased the paddock stand from DSG.
Other things I've got planned are - woodcraft clipons, K&N air filter, aluminium sprocket and that green chain set, aluminium sprocket nuts, key less gas cap with aluminium bolts.
After all these I'll work on performance, like exhaust and stuff.Last edited by R-series; 11-12-2013, 09:30 PM.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I love the stuff you have done, whenever you plan to sell your bike, Pm meIm more active on the MotoGP thread than anywhere else. So that's where also this came from.
As far as selling is concerned, I came in doubt when the Duke 390 came and was almost on the verge of doing it. But in a week or so when I started searching for accessories, I found abundance of after market parts for this Ninja. That was enough to change my decision
