1. Roughly 7-8 kg.
2. No effect. Just ensure you build a waterproof casing for the console and tape all connections.
3. It would actually perform better. Would get more dirty too though.
Thanks a lot Divya bhai for detailed answers, was having much issues while cornering in rain and dirt trails, maneuverability was pretty much poor due to front nose heavy and bulkiness hence I was thinking to get rid of it.

While you'd be happy in traffic and a bit in ghats due to better flick-ability (weight loss you see), you'd miss the fairing above 80-85 clicks on the highways.

Divya bhai I understand that, however I am more concerned about wind side drags at post 90 kmph which is far hazardous, ZMR has that faulty fairing design and we all agree with that, neither the fairing resist the wind blast from the front nor from the side, I've been experiencing this since quiet a long time now which makes bike unusable in monsoon.

I probably install same windshield without the fairing, I might need research more on it, any ideas are most welcome though

Well, to be frank; crosswinds affect the classic ZMA as much as the classic ZMR, if you get what I mean!
Yes, the fairing is badly designed with no provisions for channeling air, but minus it would be similar if not same. Yeah, you'll find better mileage as well as acceleration.

Been there, done that !! There are pics in this thread itself, you can take a look. 1 thing, engine runs cool

Routing the wire is a pain when you remove fairing. Also the wiring harness looked like 1 piece which goes directly from main harness to console.

As Divya already mentioned riding in city, ghats is a breeze but on highways it becomes troublesome.

If you remove fairing, then there is only bank angle sensor attached to headlight unit which can easily be place else where. I would suggest to try old karizma fairing.

I had a engine stalling problem in idle condition. It used to stall untill at least 3-4kms of evey ride then after that there was no issue until the next ride. Two months ago I realized that my bike(zmr 2014) has done 13K kms but air filter is yet to be replaced so, I went to asc stating my problem and enquiring whether when to change the air filter. They infomed that it must be changed between 8k-10k. Ideally it's their duty to check the condition during the regular service sessions but as it's the case since the day I bought my bike I had to myself tell so many things to them to check or repair. Anyways they replaced (or I thought so) and charged me for the same. The problem persisted. Yesterday I went for the regular service and explained the stalling problem again. They checked and replaced the air filter to my amazement since by bike had dond only 1500 kms after the last run. I had a heated argument with the ASC that they had not replaced the part last time and wrongly charged me as the air filter couldn't go bad within 1500kms but in vain.

I contacted Divya Sharan and learned that whatever part they are going to replace we must ask them to provide the plastic cover in which the part comes so that we can claim the part serial number during such issues.

Now, the problem is gone but these ASC guys never ever do the job 100%. My bike has developed a new issue:

The acceleration gets locked at 3500 RPM. Ie if u rev it over 3k to any further even above 7-8k, the rpm gets back to 3.5k and gets locked there UNTIL I RELEASE THE CLUTCH. So, that's like I am having 2 idle rpms. What may be the cause for this menace?

Seems to be an issue with engine oil temperature sensor. Could be lose connection or conked sensor. Even I have faced this issue twice so far. Turn Off & On ignition solved the issue.

Quoting few sensors and what it does on ZMR
• Engine Oil Temperature Sensor (EOT)- Provides different air fuel mixtures at different temperatures to help instant starting even in cold conditions
• Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT)- Senses the intake air temperature to determine and supply the optimum air to fuel ratio
• Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)- The throttle position sensor detects throttle opening and provides input to the ECU
• Crank Position Sensor- Senses the position/time at which the fuel needs to be injected in relation to the Crank Angle
• Oxygen Sensor- O2 sensor ensures the correct air fuel ratio for the catalytic converter
• Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP)- Measures manifold absolute pressure ensuring optimum air to fuel ratio under various operating conditions
• Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)- Automatically ensures idle stability in all terrains and ensures smooth on/off throttle response

Thanx for the info bro, The condition explained was yesterday. Today the RPM locking is not there but engine stalling is back. Could u relate this switching one issue to other thing with the Engine oil temperature sensor issue u mentioned?

The bike stalls when at very low speeds or say I have not rotated the accelarator(holding the clutch, like at traffic signals or at a speed breaker). The RPM dies down and the engine stalls. No blinking of FI Light.

For this issue, please do the following:
1. Re-lube the clutch cable and reset the free play. It shouldn't be too loose/tight.
2. Check the throttle cables A and B if they're getting stuck.
3. Finally, rust in the electricals. I faced this issue on my homerun (http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/31658-home-run.html) in April. Do you pressure wash your bike? Or do you use mug and bucket funda?

Point no. 2 already got checked by the current ASC, and I am not going to those loosers again (This time for sure).
I'll get these points checked. At home And It's Bucket-Mug funda, I don't feel like using lot of water when I can do it in 2 bucket-fulls(I hope that's not the wrong way). Pressure wash in regular service and one extra waterwash from ASC between two services. Glad that u shared the link for ur Homerun, had just heard about in bits, will read in detail now.

And ALWAYS avoid pressure wash.

Changed the stock front tyre to CEAT (like the one below). Will upload the pics by today evening.

The stock tyre still had 5-8K left in it. Grooves are good even after 30K! But the bike front was wobbling when I removed my hands from the handlebar at speeds around 65-60 kmph. It had to do with the tyre becoming uneven.

Still no luck for the rear tyre. Failed to get any 110/90 in HYD. Only MRF has an option but that too with tube type.

I may go with MRF Vyde 100/90 for rear, if I couldn't get PSDs. Is anyone using MRF vyde 100/90 on their ZMR?

Please anyone help me to find an oil cooler for ZMR. Here in coimbatore, its way too costly. Costing Rs. 6000 upwards. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, this is not you have asked!

I suggest you to try Michelin sirac tyres. Those tyres have excellent dry and wet traction, good braking ability and somewhat heavier and sturdier which are resistant to puncture. I have used it in my Xtreme and satisfied very much. No puncture in its lifetime. Stop. There are some negatives as well. There is some prominent road noise and the flick-ability of the bike get affected. You have to use some muscle to lean into corners and tends to straighten ASAP.
