Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I'm in two minds now. I was pissed off and still am with my mech due to his lackadaisical attitude. He doesn't value your time. That's the biggest grouse.Originally posted by VIJAY BHUYAN88 View PostTo be frank Divya Bhai, I felt like calling you that day to get the tappet adjustment done at your mechanics place, but was exhausted and returned back.

I would suggest you to stick with your mechanic if he does the work properly as said, otherwise all I experienced is the bigger the showroom bigger the disappointmentOriginally posted by Divya Sharan View PostI'm in two minds now. . (Past experience - Bhagat motors/Millennium motors/and Bimal hero added to the list)
I told the service manager before leaving that- when you don't work according to the job sheet, then why keep it for show.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
From my own experience, all i can say is Auth. Dealerships are all one and the same, just different names and different mechs with same shoddy attitude in uniform. Its better to adjust the tappets ourselves with a little help from friends rather than giving it to SVC and waiting for a miracle to happen, cleaning the injectors with 15 ml of SystemG into a tankful of fuel should complete the once in 25k clean up. The rest are all easy to do, provided one has the time, space and plenty of patience.Originally posted by VIJAY BHUYAN88 View PostDivya Bhai it was not good stood there from 7:50am till 12pm.
And even after repeated requests tappet adjustments were again left out (service manager started giving GYAAN on 200+ cc bikes).
I was charged for tappet adjustment but when I told I knew how tappet is adjusted was told to come back next time.
Also HERO sticker was missing from my ignition key.:banghead:

Even i have lost the hero honda sticker from the ignition key due to the damn SVC. Wish i could buy one and replace it.

I used to work on my earlier bike during college days(carb cleaning/Afr adjustment etc).
But now I am too scared to fiddle with ZEE on my own
Although I am very much ready to work on it with some guidance and help.
Have you worked on your bike's tappet adjustment? Could you share some detailed pictures if you have taken ? Would really help me.
Thanks in advance.

Tools needed:
1. Tappet tool (Used to unscrew the tappet bolt - pics in the link above)
2. Proper sized feeler gauge for tappet adjustment.
3. A calm mind and a cold engine.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I have adjusted the tappets on my CD100 which is very simple and easy as there is no fairing to remove or need to dismount the tank, however im yet to do it on my ZMR, its only the time factor thats stopping me as im super messed with other work on weekends.Originally posted by VIJAY BHUYAN88 View PostRaghav Bro you are correct.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Increasing front fork length below the cone set will lead to bad handling of bike. Also, the bike will lose it's flickability. If necessary, increase hanfle bar height.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostIs it possible to raise the height of front fork? I need something like Impulse's form.
