Probably everyone is aware that ZMR uses DOT-4 Brake Fluid which is mostly unavailable in HH SVC.

Hence I carry it along and ask them to refill or top up.
Last time somehow I managed a KBX on our lovely friend MOHSIN's suggestion.

Some suggest MOTUL also but not finding one easily.
Today morning bought CASTROL Dot-4 for Rs 75/- after discount.

Which one to use? Any specific brand?

Availability is also important for some cities, I guess as HIPHOP mentioned

When it is needed to be topped up ? or Changed ? The SVC mechanic'S here who got trainning for ZMR , all says that braik fluid will never ends , no need to be topped up or change

Why you want to change tyres before even driving ? The stock MRF tyres performs good. Give them some run then think .
As per HH terms any change will void warrenty , but before clamming you can revert back to stock 1

      Screw up those %$#@

You can see from the outside your brake oil level for Front.
While the Rear cannot be seen properly hence when the Right side cowl below seat is opened check the level.

Those guys top up with Dot-3 which is @ their SVC.
This is really bad technically. Happened to me.

Brake Fluid level depends on the brake usage.
My 13,000 kms have already seen the THIRD front disc pad.

Advised to drain the old fluid while changing Brake Pads.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Thanks SRIRAM you are always spot on. Called him and got another person details.
He will let me know the price and availability. Will keep posted.
The irony is I stay very near to the mentioned place.

Normally the shops do not pass the info even if they cannot provide the product.

            Thanks AGAIN.

If no dealer is in Delhi then all shops selling Motul oil may not be genuine one....

He also says, Motul is producing oil as OEM for Suzuki and Yamaha only ...

Dot 3 is for older brake systems, and dot 4 is for newer systems...Dot4 can be used in brake systems advised to use Dot3....but Dot3 CANNOT BE USED in place of DOT4...Dot 4 reacts less with rubber parts, can withstand greater compression levels, and retain their property longer...however usage and time determines when to change the oil. Since it is safety related do not ignore to check level, and change every 2 years or 15 K Kms.

                        Congrats Vicky on booking ZMR!

Also, kindly post an introduction on 'Who are you' section of this forum.

I know 45 days is too long however, there are tips to subdue the feeling. How? Please go through this thread from the first post, may be it would help in gaining some knowledge about the bike unless you know the machine well.
