Congrats Reneav on the engagement....ZMRs are lean tuned for FE and so a little more leaning of AFR leads to knocking....Check for Adulterated fuel, to Injector clogging, to holed Air filter to cracked Throttle body mount ,to chain and sprocket lube.....it could also be due to your riding a much smoother engine maintained well.....

@reneav, first thing is, there is a big difference between Hunk's engine and Karizma's. The 150cc unit from Honda has advanced technology and is very famous for its smooth and silent characters. On the other hand, Karizma's/ZMR's engine is refined but not silent. If you ride a Hunk suddenly, you feel ZMR to have vibrations and noise for sure. Keep that in mind. At higher speeds, the 150 cc engine makes a booming noise, where ZMR's engine feels relaxed.

Regarding your bike feeling powerless when its heated up, check if your oil-cooling system is working properly. Check if the ignition coil is getting overheated. Check spark plug cable and finally spark plug. Change the spark plug and see. Make sure the crush ring on the spark plug is flat.

You may also need to check if your timing chain is in good condition and is not worn out. Make sure valve clearances are correct.

Please check the condition of the clutch plates. Wornout or overheated clutch plates cause powerloss.

Also, check the condition of drive chain system. Replace the drum rubbers in the rear wheel hub. Improperly maintained drive chain makes lots of noise and creates vibrations.

The huge fairnings of the ZMR are a draw back, which adds up to lot of vibrations if not seated properly.

PS: Guess I gave a big list . Along with psr sir's advice, if you could check what I mentioned, it would be good. Check the engine mounts too if they are properly tightened.

Gotta get that checked. I will check on the Clutch Plates and Pressure Plates too.. I have completed nearly 35,000 though I know it can run another 5000+ kms with the stock Clutch Plates.. I don't wanna take risk on long rides. so i will get them Changed..

I recently got the Clutch Cables and Acceleration cables changed.. both A and B.. bike doesn't have loss in top speed.. but the initial acceleration reduces when the engine heats up.. I will have to heat up the engine completely before taking it to the service center to diagnose the issue..

not comparing Hunk with Karizma/ZMR :P just that after riding it for like 1500+ kms in 10 days.. I feel ZMR is harsh

Thank you for the suggestions..

Can you suggest how I can check to see if the timing chain is in good condition.. if I ride for some 300 kms, I can hear the tappets... I will be going to Spiti Valley (keeping my fingers crossed) next month. I will have to find out how the bike behaves when with my friends before the long solo ride
psr sir.. how can I find out about the Injectors being clogged?? how do I get them cleared

In Lakshmi Nagar, can you provide me a location....address...so that i can get the fuel pump check...

You can check it always. Once stalled you can check it again to potentially capture the errorneous part or eliminate the same.

Keep a keen ear to the bike's mechanism as soon as you switch on the ignition (don't crank the engine yet). While doing so, keep the left palm on the pump and
1. listen if the pump is switched on with the ignition. (makes a silent wirrrrrrrrrr sound)
2. feel if the pump is priming fuel (working), you'll feel a slight sensation in your palm.
