You can have the following tires for the rear:-

1. Michelin M45 (tube-type, but a few brave hearts use it as tubeless) - 100 mm, thickness same as stock, but appears wider due to its round profile. Awesome offroading capabilities. Decent highway tire, good in corners. One of the best upgrades on a ZMA/ZMR. Soft compound - replacement within 20k kms. No mods needs, its plug and play.
- Sadly, its production has stopped and finding a genuine piece is next to impossible.

2. Pirelli Sport Demon (tubeless) - 110 mm, round profile. Heavier than the stock tire and grips the road like leech. If fit properly, it just misses touching the chain cover by a milli-meter from both sides. I have been using this tire for 5k kms now. To offset the weight of the tire, I have removed the chain guard and hence reduced almost 5 kg from the weight of the bike. The ride height has increased due to the 110 mm round profile tire.
Its an awesome tire, great cornering capabilities and works on all kind of roads in all seasons. Negligible mileage/pickup drop. (Even before removing the chain cover)
- Soft compound, HIGHLY prone to punctures. (Luckily, I never faced a puncture so far)

3. Pirelli Sport Demon 120 mm.
Same benefits as PSD 110 tire (mentioned above in #2). But, this requires either cutting/removing the chain cover.

NOTE :- All these 3 tires require replacement within 20k kms.

Guys need a suggestion . I am thinking to change both tyres . Looking for tubeless tyres .
Anyone has changed front tyre ? If so then which one ? Upto which size front can be upgraded ?
And what about rear ? PSD or Zapper Vyde or anyother ? And which size would be good ?

Is there any special care needs to be taken to fit tubeless tyres ? Cause i gonna get them from other city & fix it in other city .

I have now decided to stick with my stock tyres for atleast 5k kms...
I want to experience the stock tyres as well, so that I can atleast know the difference (good or bad), when I change to some better quality tyres....

And one more thing, Divya Sir, please give me some advice regarding engine oil as well... or kindly post the link to the relevant thread, where it has been discussed.

not exactly but u can get cosworth K&N filter(starting from 1500rs approx) and leo vince exhaust(starting from 11600rs approx)

Avoid K&N and every other form of conical filters available in the market, best go for foam based filter, cause it filters real good.

In summary, use mineral oil till 10k kms. Its needed for bedding engine components properly and ensuring long life even after running in.
Post 10k, you may shify to semi synthetic (SS). Shell 10w30 (same specs as mineral) is a VFM option. After clocking 15k, you can safely shift to fully synthetic (FS) oils - Mobil1 or Motul 7100 or Shell AX7.
All these FS oils come with 10w40 specs and provide a decent balance of mileage and performance.


Ashwin bro, I have a query. How good/bad are (UNI in ur case) these foam filters w.r.t stock filters? What goodies should I expect from them?
Bangalore is particularly dusty. Won't the foam attract all that sand/dust? All the more since its dripped and squeezed in oil, cleaning would be a tough task, isn't it?

Where is this available? Any link/address? Moreover, I'm still a little skeptical about hot-rodding. Sprocketing is safer, it doesn't harm the engine, but just the FFEs/Akras/LeoVinces etc just don't convince me for our puny <250cc mills.

there is nothing like driving on stock tyres for sometime or replacing them later. if u have resources, better rubber is advisable at earliest. i think pirelli can go in easily, m45 is not available any more too
