    GPower: CR8EGP

Funny how there is a GPower (Platinum) available for the right side, but not the left!

Not more than Rs.550 for the Iridium one. You may get it for cheaper from local dealers. Pune DSG charges 550.
No idea about the GPower-should be around 300 I think.

Ummm, so what happened DRI confiscated your R1?

Guys, rode my bike after a gap of two weeks. It was lying at PBK for some stuff to be done. Anyways, weird thing happening. Left hand turn have become easy to flick into compared to right handers... I hope its just a tyre issue.

Any other things to look at? Frame is out of the question. Can a busted cone set be the cause?

Also am confused between going for the Zapper Vyde again or the Michelin Sirac. ...Any pointers?

How about front fork oil seals? maybe one of them is bust giving unequal travel... does your bike sway to one side during hard front braking.

vyde wears out too quickly , try the sirac

EDIT : suggest me a front tyre ? need to change this week

              • There is no visible leakage from of oil from the forks and no funny stuff happening during braking. But then the time for fork oil replacement is fast approaching, guess this time I will do it sooner than the usual 10K interval coz its seen a bit more than normal off roading in the past 7.5K kms.

+1 About the Vyde, the centre line was gone in 10K, been still running it though now for the past 2K kms, but with need to change it before the monsoons fully set it!

Maybe the cone set , or the max probability is of the tyre not set correctly ..

ya vyde doesnt last long ... suggest me something for the front ?

The options for the front are fairly limited! When I changed mine the last time, I decided to stick with stock as they were pretty decent and quite VFM too. If you want similar stuff, but are in the mood to experiment a bit, you could try the FZ front tyre, profile is lesser by 1mm so there shud'nt be any perceptible difference. But the increase in width might make it a wee bit more taxing for your arms.

Else you could try the IRC Wild Flare or the Duro Tour...

PS: The best tyre in the business is the Bridgestone Battlax, but it will set you back by about 80$ per tyre!

I too am facing the same problem, not too much, but noticable... check out for the handle being too tight when you turn it (handle-fork screw being tight) and get it adjusted...

anyhow, got used to this over time...

Could also be the tyre not being set properly...

I think so. Bro's 180 was handling the same way. Going left was easier than going right. He replaced only his cone set. Problem solved. This was in AS only. I don't think front fork oil has any role to play while turning in slow speeds. The fork won't come into play so much to know the difference. I am sure you have checked the tire alignment so you could count that out.

Whilst you can lean a lot in Vyde, I think Sirac is alot better in everything else. How taller will it make the bike anyway? RaviKiran, wher art thou?

I would go with the FZ front, if you are not satisfied with stock tires, of course.

@monty: Don't worry about the R1. Everyone here has got the drift.

                          • Just got my bike back after the service.. (It completed 10k kms).. 10k kit was not on stock so the mechanic just did the remaining service stuff on the bike.. After reaching home I noticed that they have cut a segment of chain cover! (The plastic over the chain) Is that normal?, do they do it after 10k kms???

                            • @Prankie, Nothing of that sort is supposed to happen in any service, however if you could post a pic, it would be great to understand.....
