Thx dude. See my question was wether it will make my bike run cooler or not. As you know it's pretty hot in the North in summers. Sometimes, when I ride wearing floater's I can feel the heat coming out of the engine.Originally posted by arunmur View PostDont expect any peroformance increase from changing the cooler. You could add a fan instead to the existing cooler, to help city performance."HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic

Thats why i told add a fan. You could add plastic/tin(like in AC's) ducting with the fan to direct the air away from your legs.Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostThx dude. @vipin_s: If you had a chance to any bike more suited to your own needs, wouldn't you, regardless of it being long stroked/short stroked/square engine? That is precisely what we are talking about here. A person would want to cruise better at higher speeds, or want blistering acceleration. Depending on his needs, he would change his bike to achieve that, whatever little the amount would be. Anyhow, the P220 is already among the best in both, cruising at higher speed and acceleration.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

The newer oil cooler has ~33% more area than than the older one. So yes the oil will definitely be running cooler than ours, but don't expect any drastic changes that will be easily perceptible by you.Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostOk every one I have one question. Since ours, i.e. P220 DTSFI is also oiled cooled only & the newer one also but I guess it has got a bigger oil cooler, so if we replace our's with the newer one, will there be any increase in performance. I meant to say will the oil run cooler?? Hope I am clear with my query

I would be changing mine once the spares are available!_________________________

Back in B'lore from Mumbai. The bike performed flawlessly during the whole trip. Rode for almost 450 kms from Belgaum to somewhere after Tumkur without a break. Even then I think the bike didn't need one, my butt did. No oil drinking issue *touchwood* Actually I had stopped to see a BMW
i think it was a 650.

Need Advice
My bike's nearly 2 months old now
..... returning a superb mileage of 43 to 45
.... under economic yet very conscious riding......
...As most of u kno there is a Speed and gear shift chart given in the manual....
i strictly follow it.... and while following i noticed that gear changes take place exactly at 4k rpm(while keeping up with the chart)....
my first service is over a month back... My bike has 900kms on its odo.....the max ive touched is 113 and that too for 5 secs.... i touched that speed and then slowed down rapidly ...coz i felt hurt for exploiting it...(Even for just 5 secs)
But the thing is after i slowed down my bike touched speeds of 80 to 90 kms with utmost ease...

well after that experience, till today i maintain a healthy speed of 55 to 60 in top gear...
.... i now need one help.... kindly tell me how to slowly open up my bikes true potential..
Pls suggest me the exact yet effective riding pattern that i need to follow from 900kms ~ 2500kms..... U may give out ur riding pattern and tips u followed till 2500kms...My BiKe DoEsN't LeAk OiL, iT mArK's ItS TeRriToRy !

The Fi can also be tuned to give more power! But the fuel efficiency reduces. The fuel injected bike is better in my opinion because of overall smoothness and refinement.Originally posted by rajiv_359 View PostHow the new p220 dts-i can give more power??? Well, I would suggest you not to rip it too much. Don't do consistent high speeds above 110. After the second service, you could let her rip and enjoy the beast.Originally posted by vid_powerstroke View PostMy bike's nearly 2 months old now
