Thanks guys. But MRF is not easily available. The thing is that the valve was gone. It was leaking air with slow rate. Hence the tyre was running on low pressure for long time. And now it has three punctures.Plugged them. The tread is perhaps damaged because the front end is acting weird. It wobbles. And there is a lot of tyre noise also!
Where will i get MRF Nylogrip Zapper FS immediately?
My bike is in pain!

Every bike has its set of issues. With Indian manufacturer's its even more so and slightly more with Bajaj due to quality control issues. But then its totally dependent on your service center as to how they handle the bike during service.Originally posted by Coffin On Wheels View Posthey guys have been a member of xbhp since 2005, was out of touch and forgot my login id and password so made a new one.I currently ride a 180 dtsi v1 and am planning to upgrade. My heart is stuck on the 220 dtsi for sure(performance plus value for money) but off lately i have been following this thread and am realizing that bajaj is compromising too much on quality.Right from a faulty cdi unit to fairing vibrations to gear/clutch problems and lastly the screeching sounds from the disk brakes which makes me wonder is it really worth buying the 220?
The best of bikes can be screwed by the worst of mechanics at the service centres.
With Pulsar you need to give it a little more care than you would for other bikes, but its not like they are full of problems and will break down if you don't look after them. Eg: I serviced my bike after almost doing 6K kms of hard riding and even a trip to Leh in between. No issue at all!
In the end all bikes are well manufactured, its the treatment they get from the owner and service centre that decides how much problems its going to give!_________________________

i agree with you completely my 180 has almost clocked 1.2lakh kms and i got a new engine block at 1.10 lakh kms, infact people at the showroom were surprised as to how this happened? The mechanics said pulsars need reconditiong at 60k kms.My major concern is the auto choke which many people have been stating right from the start of the thread,I live in gurgaon and leave for my office in manesar at 0545..Now how good is a bike to me if it dosent start in the morning?(and no kick option is available)Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostEvery bike has its set of issues. see once the bike is maintained well, it will not give any troubles at all.... a well maintained bike means the engine, gear box, transmission is near prefect in running condition.. if ur bike is to be running well, it should start right?
relax.....
go for what ur mind says...
u knowing this much will help coz i feel u'll take care of it...
and if (by chance) ur bike doesnt start, put it in gear..press the clutch..find a slope to push ur bike to a decent speed get on the bike, release the clutch..... method also called push start.....My BiKe DoEsN't LeAk OiL, iT mArK's ItS TeRriToRy !

I dont mind the speeds shown. For a long time iam driving without the speedo.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostWildflare is pretty good, better than stock in most respect but the slower speeds shown can be demotivating at times.
The difference in cornering profile between the R15 tyre and stock would not be so much that you would notice any decrease. And the higher speeds shown is something which I dont want at all.
Would the R15's tyre do any good if not bad?
Finally which one u think would be better?
It comes. Check this.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostNever heard of the PSD coming in 90/90-17 variants.

I would think of such mods when i start earning. I dream of having an RD350 engine on FZ chasis and P220 engine on R15 chasis.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostIf you want to improve the crappy handling get rid of the entire frame and suspension

I would say give slightly harder suspension a try. The route to my college is kinda similar to off-roading more like a dirt track with many jumps which i do at high speeds.
The bike feels better with harder suspension.
What i meant by extreme stress was the riding style which is continuous redlining for long stretches? For instance i like to have the rev-limiter kicked in while riding. So at times i drive in 1st gear or 2nd gear with the rev-limiter kicked in for long stretches (5 kms+). In such cases wont a colder plug work better?Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostLet me put it simply, firstly AFAIK the temperature variance inside the combustion chamber will not be too much for different riding conditions.
I am running the 9 & 7 combination for quite some time now, and I don't know what kind of stress conditions you are talking about but I've ridden my bike real hard and the plugs have held. And by real hard I mean clocking an avg speed of 100kmph for over 3 hours at a stretch, riding 200kms around a race track, etc etc....There has never been any issues on the plugs or combustion front. And my first set of NGK's lasted a good 29K before I changed them.
I was running on 9 and 8 but switched to 8 and 9 few days to see if there is any difference.
You missed this.

About the power sliding, i power slide only at rapidly increasing speeds from 1-40 kmph.... later on , cant do much. i get scared....
i dono if i explain the pbk , that they would understand bout the grinding sound...
my bike has done 2565 on the odo. last co tuning done two months back...
i checked the air filter... clean as usual....

Get the CO tuned again. Low mileage can also be due to bad petrol.
Rev the bike and make them hear the sound.
Thats good news for me. Now i would be happier if i get a small review from your side on the tyre.Originally posted by rohitmundra View PostPraful, I'm using 80/90, no speedo error..and that is for sure 100% guaranteed.

Well, the manual clearly states checking and filling of NitroX gas every 10k kms.Originally posted by rohitmundra View PostWhats the procedure to fill nitroX in suspension?? I asked the mechanic. He told me not to touch it, once the air is filled, its gonna leak so its gonna be a every time thing.Last edited by rahul9985; 11-25-2009, 03:52 AM.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

MRf Zapper FY 80/90/17 , stock tyre of R15 but I'm using in my 200 along with vyde at the rear and the combo is just perfect. On roads, it is way to good, sticks to the road like anything. When the rains started, for once I was scared whether it would sustain or not, but gradually the fear just went away and the grip on the water is actually good. Never experienced it on off roads. For rs700/- what else you want.
its all about CC...

@@@@@@@ MOnTY BHai :
keep cycling ur exhausts... never stay on one for tooo long... as far as i know u wont be creating much trouble to ur engine for quite a while...but u know what ?? even if ur bike misfires now, it'll get muffled by the loud dub dub dub sound...
make sure u don get any last( oddly placed ) dub or loud PHAT sound.. adjust ur spark plug gaps or do as i told u earlier..remove spark plug.clean..install it back..
make sure u have drain holes for the rain water to drain out...
PS : kindly upload a video of the STaRTup... ReVvinG ......FLYbY
