    • Hi @all i am new to xBhp but following it since a year. this thread really helped me a lot for choosing ZMA apart from P220. Really found good things about proper maintaining a ZMA.
I have a new ZMA 2012 bearing hero logo, done 1200 in 10 days. i have changed my Engine oil at 600 to stock HH. now i am facing some cold start problems. should change to 20w40 grade (motul/gulf) fix it?
I am really enjoying my ride but little limitations due to run-in period.
BTW can anyone help me finding brighter white pilot lamps??

(excuse me for my bad english & for any mistake)
I really can't define myself without my bike

              • How are you all?

I changed the engine oil to Motul 7100 10w40 100% synthese and wow!

                • Single button start daily (earlier used to start in 2+ attempts)

                • Revvs better (even in 5th)

The bottle came at Rs 750, and I'm happy with that.

Although I'm unhappy with one thing, at a Hero outlet, the shopkeeper said the price of the speedometer cable was increased and when a staff brought it to me, there was Rs 75 written, but he said "sawaal hi nahi hai, daam badh gaya hai" and he edited the price with his pen and said its Rs 110 now.

                More experiments to come, later!

P.S. A tankful of thanks to Sriram Sir for the NGK G power plug, gonna plug it soon.

Will post asap I complete 500kms. Cause I've heard experienced riders say that only after 500kms, the oil will show its true nature.

But here's an intro, took a ride after filling petronas for the first time, it was night, and I rode for a total of 5~6Kms. One side journey was warming up the engine by riding slow, then on the return leg, whacked open the throttle and crouched, and after a few secs, for the first time after owning the ZMA the speedo registered a proper 140Kmph(It has registered the same speed before, but that was a millisecond before the speedo went kaput, so doesnt count.)

So in short, am expecting alot from this oil, and will post the complete review after a while.

sir, I have a new ZMA just 1.5K. does FS oil cause any harm here... or I may wait for 5-6K?

                        Another question,
Today while washing, I saw a pipe under the engine coming out & just touching the ground (I'm sure that it is not the air pipe as it is closed by some cap). is it common in all ZMAs ??

Don't jump on the gun. It is better to run new engine with mineral oil atleast 10k kms. Atleast that's what I've done. Mineral oil helps in better seats the rings.

That pipe's connected to the air filter its acts as a sump and collects the oily residue. Always keep it closed.

                              • Michelin Sirac Street review

                                Hey mates,

                                Hope everyone is running fine.

Here is my review on the Sirac Street.

Initial view : SS will be good buy since M45 was not available and SS is now manufactured locally so was a bit skeptical on the purchase and there were other options also available from other manufacturers but had that inclination towards Michelin since I had already used Michelin on my earlier rides. Got the tyre just before the rains & the odo showed 23kms then.

Review after 5k with the change in tyre : I knew the tyre would have to be run in to get exact grip that I was looking for, so rode it cool & calm for almost 1k kms, but still it lacked the grip. I was then running on 32psi at the rear & 28psi front because sometimes I ride solo & sometimes with pillion. The tyre was good when it was dry, but when the roads turned wet, it use to fish tail like crazy, couple of times i had to stop at the side of the road to check if everything is fine. Couple of times this happened & I was all frustrated with this tyre. At the next tank fill, got the pressure reduced to 30psi rear & 26psi front. This is when I got some positive response from the tyre, but still lacked the grip. Since then, i have been riding with this tyre pressure. I am not a cornering guy, but still tried it & the response was good, this was when the roads were dry. I would never think of doing it in rains or wet patches. The tyre is good in dry conditions, but under wet conditions its a little difficult to handle it. On the cement roads, again its the same story(dry - no worries, wet - be careful). If you are running on tar roads, its ok on both dry & wet roads.

Overall report : Its kinda Ok Ok tyre, nothing to boast about. I would look for other options before I use this tyre again.

Another update : The disk pads are nearing its life & so got a new set of pads. The OE pads cost Rs.1115/- incl tax
