Hey peeps thanks for all your advices and concerns I think I need a really good mechanic for my zma if it not going beyond 105 :-/ will just one more qusstion what will happen if a change or install another exhaust for my zma ?? Will the average drop ? Will the performance improve ? I hate loud noise exhausts..Keep the Rubber side down by Keeping the Brainy side up..!!

For Karizma calculating speed is simple...ZMA does 15 kmph for every 1,000 RPM (True speed).....If in your bike the RPM increases without increase in Speed, you have to check for Clutch free play then, clutch plates for wear........The Karizma is a finely tuned bike and an exhaust change can only alter the sound and not performance...Originally posted by ngilani89 View PostHey peeps thanks for all your advices and concerns I think I need a really good mechanic for my zma if it not going beyond 105 :-/ will just one more qusstion what will happen if a change or install another exhaust for my zma ?? Do the run in properly, and your engine will give you years of trouble free run.....your FE will improve AFTER 1,000 Kms only.....Originally posted by Ramborider View Postmy bike completed 300km after piston kit change.getting 37-38 kmpl on highway riding. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

The 70~90 fluctuation happens if the Speedo interpreter,(the inverted "L" shaped unit to which the speedo cable is joined) has poor earthing, or the connector between the front fairing assembly to rest of bike is having poor contact...Check if the interpreter is loose and not tight on the holding clamp, and open and then re-insert the connector....Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostWelcome to my world.
And to add, mine also quivers when we ride at a steady phase, say Im doing 80kmph then needle will be dancing from anywhere between 70~90kmph.
Its not the cable, I believe its the speedo gears. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Your bike is still new. FE would get better after 3k kms. And 36 kmpl is not a bad FE for Karizma.Originally posted by Sajith View Postbro please help.. i ride my zma in 4rpm. only few bursts then i FE only 35-36 km... what to do.. my zma done 1700 km..please helpHH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

There is a small white round plastic gear which sits inside the small unit on the left side of the front wheel axle where the speedo cable fits in. Costs about 30 bucks. Thats the culprit. It wears of after about 10-15k kilometers. Change it. Worked for me...Originally posted by aarunn View PostMy bike s speedometer stops suddenly while riding and after some time it comes to life.. like waking up from sleep
i changed speedo cable but the problem still persist .....

when it works it works perfectly without any issues...
Thanks for the headsup will check itOriginally posted by pixantz View PostThere is a small white round plastic gear which sits inside the small unit on the left side of the front wheel axle where the speedo cable fits in. I don't understand what you want to convey here. If you do not know, i will explain you again. Power is peak at 7000 rpm, and it doesn't mean that power becomes zero after 7000 rpm. Power and torque are curves and there will be a peak at certain rpm. Even after 7000 rpm, there is power that can move the bike further till it redlines. PSR sir mentioned above that for each 1k rpm Karizma does 15 kmph, which equals to 126 kmph true speed at 8.5k rpm (on speedo it would be around 135-140 kmph due to speedo error at high speeds). Don't argue again here that Karizma's speed is 105 kmph again; and if you do, we just simply ignore you pardoning your ignorance)Originally posted by punarvasu View PostMy bike’s (GS150R’s) maximum power output is at 8500 rpm and I know how difficult it is to reach that level. That is why I questioned a friend’s claim of reaching 129 kmh on that bike.
105 kmh is Karizma’s speed above 7000 rpm. I have no solutions to increase this speed other than modifying the final drive ratio for speed which I do not support as it is like modifying a 100 cc bike’s gears with Hayabusa's, hoping to ride at its speed.
And your GS150R is just 150cc and 150kgs, and power output is less, so it takes ages for your bike to reach 8000 rpm. Karizma has a 223cc engine and has more power and torque than GS150R and so it reaches 8.5k rpm quickly and in more relaxed manner. I don't know what you want to say by mentioning GS150R here.
And, a normal Karizma can do 125 kmph true speed (speedo 135-140 kmph) and no modifications required. Karizma can do 125 kmph and so we bought this bike; otherwise we would have selected lower cc bike.
I have to laugh at your ignorance. There is a force called 'gravity', pull of the center of the earth and we are all walking on earth because of its pull. Miraculously it works on the bikes too. If a bike tries to climb up a slope, the gravity would pull the bike back. Also we all are in a medium called 'wind'; and if there is an opposite wind, the bike will take ages to reach speed. And if the wind is tooooo strong, it would make the bike do 'sastanga namaskara' and there by the person riding on the bike also do 'sastanga namaskara.'Originally posted by punarvasu View PostAnd I don’t think a bike’s ability to reach 120 or more kms speed after riding through an empty plain stretch of 3-5 kms in prayer mantis or ‘sashtanga namaskara’ stance with fully opened throttle is its plus point. More than that, Karizma is not designed as a racing bike.
So, to reach top speed, you need favorable conditions like plain road and wind in your direction. If these two forces work against you, your bike takes ages and ages to reach top speed.
We are not here to just discuss the positives of Karizma. We are here to discuss everything about this bike. Is there any rule that we should not talk about top speed? And BTW, its you who talked about the top speed with wrong information. If Karizma is not going beyond 105 kmph, certainly it has some problem, and thats what a member asking for a solution. If you can't give any inputs on whats wrong, you can remain silent. You can't just talk about changing final drive ratios for a problem in the bike. There is no need to change final drive ratios for a Karizma to go beyond 105 kmph; the engineers at Honda have already changed the final drive ratios of the bike to reach 125 kmph true speed. If you have any issues with that, please shoot a mail to them.Originally posted by punarvasu View PostWe have a lot of other positives of Karizma to discuss. Then why this nasty “maximum speed” topic? Let us drop it.
