its better to replace as soon as possilbe..you were bit lasy to lubricate your chain? isnt it!...ah it is alright no problem. but my advice to you is..replace.

and yes..i am facing similar vibrations on the tank..
what did the SC guys did to your bike to clear the vibrations?
Nope, was not lazy. Infact I use the Yamalube Dry Tape Lube now. Love that thing.
If, you go back a few pages you will see svjhonda opening up his tank and he has marked Two Bolts under the tank. Those were loose for me, so were the Bolts that are bolted on the Chassis. I guess, After getting my Tappets done, the Tank wasn't done up properly and also the Offroading I put the Bike under in the last two weeks took it's toll on the BIKE!

    And, jd666

Yup will do that. I remember you suggesting that some pages back too. Diesel or Kersosene right?
Will do that on Sunday night. Thanks!

      • @sharan - kerosene would be a better choice though diesel would work as well.

@pain reloaded - get the steering stem bolt checked. If its loose you could be getting the sound you described.

New Swingarm + Modification, Rear Disk Brake Attatchment Flange, Rear Wheel plus parts.

He's used a 130/80/17 rear, Michelin Pilot Sporty, which comes as factory fitment for R125 in Europe. The tyre is specially meant for small bikes/scooters and is very light+has silica compound used in the bigger Pilot Sport tyres used in R6 and R1. The tyre itself costs 4700/-.

Its FZ16's rear alloy, got thr R15's disc fitment in it. The swingarm looks similar to R125's, which they maufacture themselves.

He's quoted a pricey price but is ready for a deal if more people wish to get it done together. Anyone cares to get things done, please inform so we can get a good deal. Interested people can call me maybe and we can speak together to KRP for a better deal.
this tyre iznt michelin pilot, its a shinko 005 series...

          • @JD--Have heard and that Kerosene is a strict no no for O ring chains.

My chain was full of grime, look the amount it spat out.

It has been posted elsewhere on this thread. Search..

The RX100 stand costs 230-250 bucks and is far more VFM than the paddock stand, because using that, you can raise the front wheel also.
                      You get the point?? :D

                        • Diesel is fine & kerosene being cruder, swells the O rings and hence was asked to be avoided

Truth to be told, its not an issue. You can do what JD suggested. I did clean my chain in Kerosene (but didn't remove the chain) and it helped immensely. I was able to loosen 2-3 links. And getting a new chain when this one's not worn through seems kinda not ok to me.
Why don't you try using Wurth's chain lube? I use it, and it works great! Had the same issue with my bike's chain too, and it loosened up most of the jammed links by second application. I feel it has more penetrability than Motul's and it is watersplash-proof. So lasts longer than Motul's, not keeping the chain dry at the same time(Yamaha's dry lube isn't really an option for people like us with jammed links).

                                @all:
If anyone of you wanted to see the R15's injector, here:

(Both pictures were taken before cleaning, you can notice the clogged hole(s) if you observe carefully. One hole is more clogged than the rest)

I've found something, the injector needs some mild cleaning once in a while. And so does the fuel pump and pressure regulator. The reason: The fuel tank rusts up inside, combining with the petrol and forming a thick fluid that doesn't mix with the remaining fuel. It settles at the bottom, and is sucked by the fuel pump, jamming many areas. I cleaned the fuel pump and injectors myself, and did notice a noticeable change. The bike now idles higher with the same idle setting as before(as high as 2.5k-3k RPM). Had to re-adjust the idle screw.
                                Sunny.
