What do I do? put some additive and run it for longer duration or any other suggestion, cures ?

Hiii allll

my first post after couple of months & enjoyed the monsoon ride too on my 7 months 8k Kms old yzf but suffering a very common problem of chain rusting though i got my chain cleaned / lubed by SC for 120/- at around 250 Kms back but now colour of my chain has turned in dark rusty orange which i tried to get rid off by using Shampoo / Detergent ( nothing is working ) .
Need some experts advice on same
( Or shall i clean the chain with Mr Muscle & then get it lubedby Motul )

^^ spray zorrick on it ( you can get it from any hardware store ) let it be for a few hours, and then spray chain lube on the chain.

How many of you have done it already or is there a different solution for a few more thousand kms. But, no Compromises whatsoever.

Even my chain has a few links which are jammed. When the chain is lubed, it still makes clicking noises when those links go over the sprocket. Truth to be told, its not an issue. You can do what JD suggested. I did clean my chain in Kerosene (but didn't remove the chain) and it helped immensely. I was able to loosen 2-3 links. And getting a new chain when this one's not worn through seems kinda not ok to me.

It can be a simple case of low idling, or maybe the idle adjustment screw has fallen off! Check on the right side of the bike. The black panel which has DELTABOX written on it has a cut. A bronze screw should be visible. If its there, good, if not, look around your garage or on the engine bay area. Try and find it asap!

Nah. Just clean properly with kerosene. Take an old hard toothbrush, dip it in kerosene and clean. Use kerosene liberally. Everything will go away.

Zorrik is petrol based na? So its harmful for the O-rings right?

@ svjhonda: Hmm 1 question from my side, if it were to be a low idling issue then why would the bike stall at 3k rpm levels??

@svj - nope, its milder than WD-40. and we are using the rust cutting abilities. I used it on my R15, and the chain was shining like new.

yesterday bought motul chain clean and chain lube [road]. but dont know how to use it. i know this that firstly motul chain clean has to be used then lube but dont know the procedures.

there are some questions
1. motul chain clean should be used like just spraying on chain or i have to clean it with brush also?[ i have tried to clean with tooth brush but not cleaned properly] and how much should be sprayed like one coat of spray or more than that?
2. how much chain lube should be used? one thick coat or two?

how often should we lube our chain in rains....I think when I clean and lube my chain, the rain starts and when the bike is dirty and muck over the chain, it never rains...Is motul chain lube washes away if we ride in rain only once???

^^ no the lube is sticky, so it attracts a lot of mud.

You should clean as and when the chain is dirty, but around 200-300 kms.

I had the same problem and the solution is very simple.
You need to get the Spark Plug Cover(Black in colour) replaced. It costs around 75 bucks and happens generally during rains.

Point. But this may happen because of that also, because the idle circuit is messing with the throttle butterfly-fed inlet, so that gives unstable running.

Bust most probably its what HarjotR15 has mentioned below. That explains the kit-kit noise.

Use as much chain clean needed to remove the dust & muck. Use a discarded hard toothbrush to scrub the dirt off.

Use just one coat of chain lube, but make sure its applied evenly. Over-lubing may remove chain noise for sometime, but it will attract 2 times the amount of dust a single, even coat will.

Hey Pramod, you need to ask the service station to change your "adapter". I know exactly what you're talking about. In fact, I just changed the adapter on my bike today. This problem is common during the monsoons, I have changed it thrice now in two years. Costs just Rs76/- so won't hurt your pocket.

I have been experiencing a khit khit type sound when I change gear and rip the bike....the sound also comes when the bike moves over a pot hole..
Note- The sound does not come everytime during the above process..
It is also not the sound of tools under the seat...Can u guys help me??
