      • @ananth: I don't think that it is the "new" lot of the P-200s, because if you look at the pictures closely, the front mud guard doesn't have that extra flap at the end (which the newer lot of the P-200s have)..

Probably, these pictures are of the faulty fork of the first lot of P-200s, that are doing the rounds.. I really don't think there is any reason to panic..

        P.S:
The forwarded chain mails really suck! I hate these kind of mails, and I've requested most of my friends not to include me in their 'chain'..

@onlinesatish: I don't think they would stop someone from getting the bike serviced if the bike has not completed the requisite kilometres on the odometer. That's none of their concern, really. I want to get my bike serviced, and they should oblige. That's all that matters!
        :)

Ohh.....do the newer lots have a mud flap??? i thought it was an extra acessory!

Bro....tht is not the case here in hyd. They wont service the bike until it has done the certain no of kms or if the due date for the service has come.

Not sure abt probiking but this is the case with TVS SVC

          • @Satish: I have never been rejected to being serviced (my bike, I mean..) up until now by the Probiking guys, and a couple of other people I know had also come in BEFORE the requisite kilometres on the odometer.

P.S: Although I am not so sure how would they behave if the bike does more than what it is supposed to do in a service interval period..

Hmm....thts good......over here they'll do a oil change but would never do a servicing unless its extremely unavoidable.

Abt the P.S part.......i have given my bike thrice after the service intreval They took it without any issue. Twice becoz they had huge no of bike to be serviced and once coz i had less cash. But i had changed the oil exactly at 2.5k though

              • I have seen people avoiding to get their bike serviced on the pretext that they have a "few kilometres" left on the odometer before the servicing is due according to the service manual. They, supposedly don't want to "waste" their free services, which is pathetic to say the least!

I mean, who cares whether the service is free or one is paying for it as long as my motorcycle runs smooth and keeps me happy. I for one don't care whether I have to pay. All I want is that my bike should be happy. That would make me a satisfied person. Period.

You can get them replaced at PBK. If your bike still has a warranty on the electricals (which it does for a period of 1 year, unless you install after-markets like remote locking or HID lamps), then you can get them replaced from Bajaj for free. I had the same trouble on a P180 that I used to own.

Anyone in here getting their bike serviced anywhere OTHER than PBK? I mean, I've still got one last free service on hand, after which I seriously considered to switching to one of the Castrol Bike Zones. But I don't know about the response there. Anyone with experiences?

We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos

on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a

                            • I heard the Castrol Bike Zone does a pretty decent job, but i suspect the bill to be a little on the high-side, as it's like any other SVC only difference being the fact that it works for all the bikes, if you ask me it's better to find a mech. (any mech.) who runs his own little shop, who'll do just what you want him to do on the bike, that way the service will be personalised and not so expensive either. Atleast that's what i'm doing right now, i have a mech nearby my house, he replaced all the minor parts (fender, shroud, handlebar, disc pads) for me once i bought them for him, and the best thing about it is it totally costed me only about 100 rupees for the whole ordeal
I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.
