Stability issue
Hello friends,
I own a pulsar 150 UG1, lately I am facing stability issues with the bike.
I noticed the bike swaying, if I leave (unhold) the handle(it does not move in a straight line). If we check the trail of the tyres it is the same pattern as the snake moves. Also when I leave the handlebar the front tire wobbles vigorously.
Friends if anybody of you have faced same issues, please help me diagnose the problem.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The possible issues to look for :-
1. Cone-set : the bearing need replacement , costs economical . It should solve the wobbling .
2. Alignment- Check for rim aligment . As u hav rim & spoke model probably .
3. Bearing : Check for any Bearings fatigue in front & rear rim .
I hope you have not made the bike fall in either direction which may b causing the snake type movement .
Also check the wear of front & rear rubber pattern , if bald then it will give u a wobbling effect . Sometimes , the shape of tyre is disturbed by the no.of times it is opened for a punchure . In that case no matter how many times you do the alignment of rim , the wobbling will return once u leave the handle . The solution to that is to go for new tyre , this happend in my case too . Presently, I hav upgraded my bike with Michelin Sirac Street 2.75*18 for my 150 DTSi 04' .
I hope this will solve the problems in your bike ."BiKiNg in INDIA is like JOGGING in IRAQ ,something may HIT YOU"

Yes you are right, the bike has met with an accident(minor) due to which it fell.
My bike is with alloys, I am not sure if we can get the wheels aligned for 2 wheelers.
Also the tyres are stock and are completely worn out.
Please also suggest best tyres front and rear and their sizes.
Also is it a good idea to uprgrade rear tyre to one more width (say 110/120) without any changes made to shocks or swingarm.
Thank you once again

Yes , if there is a alignment issue in alloy , it can be rectified too. It is very similar like to a car alloy rim . Some weights are used to make the alloy work as to normal .Originally posted by einZiel View PostThank you very much for your valuable inputs.

Also is there any considerable drop in the mileage ?
One more query, my bike came fitted with tubed tyres, so do I need to take any extra precautions while fitting a tubeless one.
Thanks again

It was a direct fit for my UG4 pulsar. You need to get a valve for installing tubeless tyre since u have tube type tyre now. Also there is no performance drop as i mentioned earlier, and mileage drop should be negligible say 1 or 2 kmpl max.Originally posted by einZiel View PostIs there any trick in fitting a 120 section in the rear?....as implied by Prabhakar, as this will be my first time experimentation.
