Indeed the 120 section looks great. Thanks a lot for solving my queries.
Just one question @chris, does the tyre foul with the chain cover, did you need to make some adjusments to it (for ex. remove it).

Seems I am now ready to upgrade.
    Will keep you updated.

No ...actually i had opted on the swingarm of a P180 Classic but i gave it a try with my originals.....worked fine that too with the chain cover on only the 1st Nut on the Lower cover has too be cut short to push the cover towards the outer, the gap has just about 3-4 mm clearance but no probs till yet...........that's it......

@Einzel :- Sirac 120 section is just too heavy for P150 and that too if you ride mostly in city , it is bound to get you a burden feeling . Sirac , again is rare to procure in 17'' alloy . Good selection will be Zapper C or Vyde or you can also go for Vertigo all in TL type i.e Tubeless . There are vry less options for 17'' alloys in Michelin 's .

        • Back from a 200 km round trip in my bro's P150 ug4.5. Route taken, Coimbatore - Erode - Coimbatore.. Maintained 95+ kph for more than 20kms after toll gate as there was very minimum traffic.. It can cruise at 70 all the day ! The bike felt very much in control but harsh.. Overall satisfied with the performance and stability at high speeds !

65-70 is really a boon for P150 Dtsi

                • The starter motor might be the culprit. I had the same problem with my pulsar 180 2002. i had to replace both the battery and the starter motor.

The starting problem may be due to these below mentioned issues :-

You seem to be a proud owner of A Classic Pulsar , kudos

                    1. Check for battery health , it may be charged but not enough to keep the charge for long ,
remedy :- replace with latest dry battery , costs arnd 1600/-

                    2. check the relay , a steel color instrument sitting right beside the battery .
it helps in keeping the battery charged and assisting in transfering the charge to the starter motor .
remedy - costs rs.700 appx . Has long life recommended with new battery .

                    3. Check for the starter points , assembly placed in front of cylinder , touching the chassis .
very easy to procure for Bajaj and replacement cost is below rs.500 appx .

This will surely resolve the Self starting issues on your Pulsar . We are lucky to have Pulsar as parts are economically priced .

Prabhakar , I think The ASC guys will do that . It will take a bit more time to do as ASC are always busy, but they will do it .

Once , a nearby ASC refused me telling they dont hav the right set of tool to change the setting (showing that they were busy ), I was like , But a quick email to Customer Care caused the Area Mgr calling me after 2days for the same thing in mrng . That was a real quick thing .

Happened with me too.. First time i got it adjusted from them.. Second time they were busy and told that they dont have the tool.. I enquired with road side mechs and even the authorized Bajaj spares deals.. None of them having.. Any ideas about buying it online?

Prabhakar : yaar , I hav vry less idea abt the purchasing part . I am not sure abt the tool but its an tong like instrument and it is done at local mechanic. It needs a good muscle power too may b thats the reason locals are avoiding it .

But do u need the adjustment vry often ?

Not really but i might change things occasionally and having the tools will be handy.. The tool is smaller just like coke opener Using the tool should not be a problem either, dont want to be a muscle man
