Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Ignored it as you said. Will have it checked if it heats up alarmingly. I don't smell anything and it doesn't boil. I'll see what happens on long rides. I'm thinking of checking with the dealer.Originally posted by maadyy View PostWhat about the heat?

I don't think it will heat up alarmingly. But a little it will that's normal. You can check with dealer for further confirmation.Originally posted by dcrooves View PostIgnored it as you said. Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Hello friends,
I'm hearing a constant noise from inside the visor and it increases as the speed increases (its like sparking chir-chir... which linearly increases as i accelerates)
I shown to mechanic too and it opened up the whole visor and put it back but after few days it is again the situation like before
What could be the problem guys? Is there any daming rubber or so which needs to be replaced or What?
Thanks .

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
It's called crankcase breather tube.Originally posted by kannakeshav View Post
Can i know the name and uses of pipe which i highlighted in pic?? please................
When your engine gets hot the air inside the crankcase heats and expands
On the other hand when the engine cools down the air gap cools so the air inside it contracts
If the crankcase is completely sealed these pressure differences can restrict the oil flow and do other damages....
So a breather tube is connected between the air filter and crank to allow air to expand and contract ..
This tube connects the crank to the airfilter box so that no dirt or pollution enters the engine.
If you open and tap it you will see water droplets due to condensation which is normal ..
And donot run the engine with the breather tube opened .Last edited by V!RU$; 02-07-2014, 05:49 PM.

I get the noise from right tank scoop. It happens due to vibration. Check loose body part or wear out rubber.Originally posted by sanket779292 View PostHello friends,

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Check for the rubber bushes against the nuts. Check for any gap in between front visor and rest of the panel.Originally posted by sanket779292 View PostNo maadyy noise is not coming from the front scoops i've checked it, please suggest something else it seem to come from inside of visorLast edited by maadyy; 02-08-2014, 09:46 AM.b SANE to b insane!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Now I have a small problem with my 150. I rode today in extreme traffic and I can now hear the tappet sounds just loud enough to wake someone up.
Also to point out another source of sound, there is a watch glass on the left side of the crankcase, just above the gear lever. I see a chain there working as soon as the bike comes to life. That chain is too is making noise which wasn't there yesterday.
Yesterday evening, I lubed the chain with Rolon spray since it was running a bit dry. After that it was kept overnight. Now, when I took the bike today, it was all sounding good for the initial duration till I hit the traffic. On a couple of occassions, I did climb the rev range a couple of times to 5-6K when I had clean and empty road ahead.
How long and how much does it cost to set the tappets back to normal? What abotu this weird chain noise? Is this related to the alternator?Regards,
Akash Yadav

On the left side you have timing inspection window which is used for positioning the piston at TDC
When you look inside it you will see the Alternator's rotor which has various markings(Like T for TDC)
If you are hearing sounds from that side open the plastic cap on the left side of the crank and hear for any rattling
If you are sure the noise is coming through there then take it ASAP to a mechanic
There can be some bolt loose inside it which can cause serious damage to the engine
Also opening the left side of crankcase won't require you to drain your engine oil
On the left side there is the alternator and some gears which
couple the starter motor
And don't worry if you only want to adjust tappets you can take it to any mechanic
Provided he uses a feeler gauge and proper tools ...
Intake valve clearance is 0.05mm
For exhaust valve it is 0.1 mm
After the after the adjustment try to kick start the bike
If the kick is harder than earlier then the tappets are set properlyLast edited by V!RU$; 02-11-2014, 12:12 AM.
