Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
I have seen lots of people saying that old classic version was much more fun to ride and the engine was also quite reliable, so is it these twin spark plugs which is spoiling the engine performance,i think shorter swingarm will give you more better cornering on small curves and cuts, but on long sweeping curves i think bike will not handle that well as the rear will try to step out.Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Sorry to have missed your post my friend. The newer 180 and 220 have the same camshaft... the camshaft is a direct fit on the 150 as well but you will loose out on thr kick lever.... since that camshaft dosent have a decompressor mechanism for the kick...Originally posted by Midhun.akd View Postany help bros ??

The shorter swingarm is more corner friendly... the bike is very short geared as well.... so it reaches 60+ faster and the bike is rev friendly as well... the double plug just helps with the mileage and the longer swing arm is better for top end stability.... the reliability issue is just cause bajaj started skimping on better quality materials and quality control...

Yeah iam ok bro, hope you are also fine, hmm if the bike is short geared then dosen't it gets out of breath in high speeds, definitely longer swing arm is better for stability, so bajaj is cut shorting the route and hence lots of issues with quality.

[QUOTE=Midhun.akd;1079952]How damaged? Apart from better low end and a reduced top end dont expect miracles from the cam... I also suggest dont run the bike on damaged internalsOriginally posted by Divyanshp150 View PostSorry to have missed your post my friend. Yep bike dosent have a better top end like the dtsis... this can be counteracted with a smaller rear sprockets for highway riders.. im losing hope with bajaj now...

On the contrary bajaj quality should have improved quality with newer techniques emerging every day, and that too for a company who has stake in giants like Ktm, i don't know how much true this is but one biker was telling me that this dtsi engine was actually developed by kawasaki and that too quite long time back and was eventually a failed engine.Bajaj borrowed this engine technology and with some added tits and bits bolted it on to the pulsar's dtsi version.Sorry for hurting any bajaj fan pls don't mind.

[QUOTE=kusmaker;1080072]I believe its true. This is a highly "jugaadofyied" kawasaki engine from the eliminator series....Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View Post

Need Technical Specification
To all the legends of the xBhp team, this is my first post in the forum. I just need to know the gear ratios of the Pulsar 150. I searched in each and every website and found only for the P180 and the P220.I also need to know the Primary and the Final reduction. Please post if anybody knows it. The data is not even mentioned in the manual. So please help me...
The only time that makes me tension free is when I ride my wheels

Re: Need Technical Specification
hi guys, there is a black smoke coming out. It's been only 10000 kms I have changed the piston block. It was suspected that valve was leaking went ahead for polishing the valve. But the smoke is still there so it is now suspected that there must be a problem with piston head. the question is is it suggestible to go for boring or its better to change the piston head set?b SANE to b insane!

Re: Need Technical Specification
Black smoke means engine oil is NOT burning. You are running either bad quality fuel or a very rich mixture... or both! change your pump tune your carb!Originally posted by maadyy View Posthi guys, there is a black smoke coming out. Re: Sprucing up a classic p150
Aha the classic pulsar. I own one aswell. Remember no matter what anyone tells you do not change to the dtsi swing arm. Use stock short swingarm. Also, these bikes are very short geared from the factory, still the karizmas rear sprocket will boost acceleration. If you want better sound firdt just remove the airfilter box snorkel and tune to a little richer mixture. Will give better sound and wont let the engine lean out on higher rpms. Be carefull bike becomes prone to air filter getting wet in rains. I dont know what shape your bike is in but stay away from a ffe. Stock one dosent even have a catcon and has perfect back pressure. Also try to do a valve lapping job with new valves and seals... also get a new spark plig better engine oil etc. For second stage mods do a head porting polishing job.Originally posted by in_dutta View PostDear moderator & all,
i want to mod up my p150 (single spark, spoke wheeled)\
want to play with sprocket -1 with +3 set up ( help me find those), new carb and ffe

Re: Sprucing up a classic p150
thanks dear Divyansh,
already fitted wire mesh air filter, sounds good, but stock silencer feels like dirty inside.
mixture is rich enough to wheelie if released clutch released at 5-6k RPM in first.
Wanted to change sprocket as im getting high RPM boost, thus suspecting exhaust chockage,
want to use alloys of 17" of NEW ones, as i have spoke wheel 18" which will not allow TUBELESS tyres. or 18" alloys is best suited for this?
Thinking of using this headlamp i liked on ebay Triangular Head Light FOR Bikes Yellow High N LOW Flash Beam With Parking Light | eBay
with grab rails changed to this LED Grab Rail Rear Handle ALL Pulsar Bikes 24 SMD RED | eBay
i dont have electric starter, but have mrf zapper 3.00x18 and 2.75x18, want to fit 100/80 front and 120/80 at rear with 17" or 18" wheel.
and swing arm mod found on ebay without any big mods, see Pulsar 150 135 Extended Swingarm KIT | eBay
please guys post me views and also guide me for this classic baby and my P200NS, YAM FAZER 16, YAM ENTICER. ALL THIS I OWN.
