        • ^^ u can also repair ur crank shaft, just like block is rebored, in a similar way crank can be repaired. i dont know the exact procedure but my mechanic has done it on my bike. something like boring and putting a bigger bearing.

              • ^^ hmmn...my P150 UG3...has clocked a top speed of 113 kmph quite a few times, but now it doesn't go beyond 108 kmph, my weight is 95 kgs and my tank is always filled to brim...may be thats the reason.

                • Bajaj Pulsar 150 (2005 model)

After much cry at home my dad booked pulsar 150 black after cancelling CT 100 in 2005. Cant express in words those days when i got my first love. In the year 2008 bike turned it turned 60 (60000 kms). Decided to repaint and turn to fear the black edition.
Now it has turned 80 (80000 kms). I have serviced this bike from Trivandrum pro biking to Ernakulam popular bajaj (400 kms range). Most of the time it was dissatisfaction that i got. As usual most of the bajaj bikes need utmost care to perform in peek condition always. same with this pulsar too. Till date managing/maintaing this bike has been the biggest task. But whatever, below the 70k price mark no 150 cc bike in market can deliver the punch and rush while riding as this one. I vow.
At 80000 kms i felt that screwing myself so much to maintain this bike was of less worth. Random thoughts like exchange, selling to a good bike loving customer, etc went through my head. Almost locked on Thunderbird 350 cc / ktm duke. Dad too uses the bike, hence Thunderbird was final one, just to give him a relaxed ride.
Well I have spent so many days of my life for this bike. At max I can get 35k as the cylinder has done 80000 kms. To revive the engine I may need not more than Rs.2500 as I carry out most works time to time. Gave it for service to an unknown ASS. just stressed, I care a lot and hence work too should be best. The bill was Rs.4500 (Rs.1000 for iridium plugs,Rs.1000 Labour charge, Rs.2000 parts.....) Got it back yesterday. the new cylinder and the feel of engine is amazing. something that i had 7 years back. Guys the smile on my face, can you see it??
I have posted pics of the bike. I'm using Michelin sports in rear (30psi) and zapper FS in front (25 psi). Irridium plugs. need help here. do iridium plugs require servicing like normal ones or else? Stock air filter. planning for K&N for a long time.tight on money. The bike is smooth and im keeping the revs under 3500 rpm. Thinking of breaking in fast.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Thats one well maintained bike. Why did you go for Iridium plugs? Conventional plugs would have been fine enough and saved some money. Also the labor charge seems to be too much..

I paid less than 100 for free services excluding oil change and done one paid service for 600, never done at ASC after that.

                          @ all
Guys Is it possible to fit the handle bar base plate of old Pulsar 200 in the P150s forks without any modifications? Has anyone tried or came across such mod?

uploading from mobile so I couldn't point it out, The silver colored part below handle bar that connects the handle bar and forks. I believe its different for both p150 and p200.

                              • im new member to this site.i own presently own pulsar 150 classic which has done around 42000kms.some problems like top speed and initial acceleration has decreased.it can do only 80kms maximum...but there is no jerking or noise from engine..i want to replace following parts
                                1-battery(brand and type)

2-front and rear tyres(i want to upgrade the rear size from 3.0-18 to 100-90-18 size keeping front to stock size to 2.75-18 size)im preferring ceat gripp does its avilable for both front and rear otherwise sirac street tyres

3-replacing the stator coil with avenger 180 coil for 55/60w setup..does reflector and dome glass avilable same as pulsar to withstand that setup..

4-parts to be replaced in engine gearbox and sporkets.,i dont want to change originalitx of classic....

5- rear shocks change to nitrox or cbz...does i need to change the swingarm and sporkets..i dont want any mods which affects on geometry of bike...

6-does its recommended to flush the engine for removing carbon deposits..
and material used for flushing...and suggest a good budget engine oil also

7-finally is its possible to mod front disk assembly of karizma as both have same rim size of 18...

please tell the amount needed for all these changes separately...i dont want to further mod my pulsar i wish to keep it as original classic
