Dude i understand.. yes u r right.. its the latest technology and its better.. but what they are talking about is the materiel used to make the frame. so leave it.

Guys this bike is brought by the company as a sports tourer, which is also good enough for every day riding.so it does not matter if it does not have the delta box frame, it's all about having the right tool for the job. even a company like ducati still uses traditional trellis frame fit it's top models, which again is some what similar to the diamond tubular frame used in the baby cbr in terms of construction and rigidity. And the world leader in two wheelers knows which is better! So let the bike come first then start giving your impressions here !

Sorry mate, even Yamaha has done cost cutting by using steel to make its frame as I have read in BikeIndia review of R15. By this statement, I only intend to correct your assumption of aluminium frame in R15.

The name CBR itself is a big deal and Honda playing with the name in this 250 is ... I do not know what to say And who cares what HH calls, one day it might even name it Karishma S (read Karishma s*xy). Its true that a HH dealer near my home pronounces it literally Kari-sh-ma, lol!. At the end of the day, as nitrosatya puts it, it is after all a stickering company :P. All said, we here cannot change anything. We just have to accept what the heck Honda calls it. At the most, we can get rid of the CBR sticker on the bike and stick "Street Hawk" on it

You put it right. For example, in BI's first ride report, the CBR, owing to its soft set suspensions, nosedives a lot on hard braking while R15 refuses to do even a bit of it. This is just one exmaple. I hope it makes up for this track deficit in the touring and city riding by providing good mileage and comfortable ride to even pillion and good fun in the corners on the twisties. I hope I am not too demanding on the CBR.

Not starting a comaprison here, but R15 "does not" refuse to nose dive. Accepted that CBR has better suspensions, but the R15 is quite good on its part at transferring weight to the front on braking. Maybe not as good as the Honda 250, but atleast it doesn't refuse to nosedive as stated.

R15 ==> designed solely for Track and provided to common man
CBR250R ==> solely designed as sports tourer

end of discussion ... now its up to ppl who use it how to use.. either use it for track or common commuting or even for touring

i even seen few times carrying cow food [Grass :P] on R15 and i even seen a big load of commodities carrying on R15 .. now don;t ask me for the proof .. u know ppl here in India make full use of there bikes

CBR250R is listed in Sports category in Honda site, not in sports tourer.

I guess we should stop pulling HH's leg now. Rather than cribbing what they have been doing all the while, we don't see what they have provided us, be it detuned engines. Agreed, they haven't catered much to us power hungry bikers for the past donkey years, so that doesn't matter. What would be the scenario of discussion here if the 'Zma wasn't launched 8 years ago?? People loved that bike and still do, and it served everyones purpose. We wanted more from it, didn't get it but it served its purpose in the market when it came. Big time. Infact, it still rivals its counterparts, thats when its called legendary for no reason. The CBRs got lot of work to do.

So bottom line, we need to curb our rants on them. They did what they could do best within their limits and came out on top. Thats what mattered. And in that process what they achieved in terms of the legacy product, served and still continues to serves us well. Yes, we want to move on now, and hope Honda can deliver without them.

Shivaprasad: R15 gets an aluminum frame or steel frame, doesnt matter mate! And the CBR and the Yamaha are poles apart, which is why comparisons are unfair. For a first, the Yammie never got these many patents registered when it came here. Moreover, the first impressions from people reminded you of its slimy cycle rear tyre and ugly rear. Yes, agreed its a brilliant bike and all, but whats true is true. The CBR on the other hand is really looking great from front to the awesome rear. Thats not me, its the people saying!

(Unicorns engine= CBZ xtreme, HUNK, Achiever etc)

As per the review read on Superbike.co.uk, CBR250R has just got the looks of sportbike but it is only good street bike. People should not expect its handling and performance of sportbike. However in country like india which is dominated by 100 to 150ccs, the CBR really is a sport bike.
This bike is specially designed for India & Thailand keeping the budget in mind first.
