Use the KTM Powerparts range to your benefit then. They will surely offer:
    1. Panniers
    2. Tankbag
    3. Windsheild
    4. Bigger Fuel Tank

VOILA!! You have a 2-in-1 bike!!
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

They said "ANy bike sold by Bajaj above 1L(in current scenario)" will be sold through KTM showrooms, Ie Greens Oranges and Big Yellows as all of them will cost above 1L Mark. As of now Ninjas are sold at very same place.

Here in India Bajaj will sell Pulsars, Dukes and Ninjas. And outside india KTM will sell Dukes.
No what I thought was whether you meant that the new pulsars will be sold through probiking showrooms. I don't think they will sell pulsar 375 NS through Probiking as that is dedicated entirely for kawasakis and ktms. To make it more clear, what I actually meant was that Bajaj/KTM will sell Duke 390s through Probiking showrooms while the 375 NS should be available in any Bajaj showrooms.

CBR 500R is expected to be priced at around 3.25~3.5 L. I'm not 100% sure, but it should be more or less around this range.

Thats a nice idea. But I think Bigger tanks are not available for Duke line-up. Thats the most important.
we can forget Character of its motor for some extent if a bigger tank is available. Will be a relief for 200 Duke users too.

        • @antz.bin - Bigger fuel tank as a powerpart? Really? Duke 200 doesn't come with such powerpart so I thought even the Duke 390 won't have it. Windshield sounds good! p.s - Spare me for not quoting the message. I'm online from a Nokia C3 and web surfing is ridiculous.

Well its not available as of now. But KTM does provide bigger fuel tanks for its Enduro models as powerparts. So there is always the possibility they might introduce one for the smaller Dukes just to enhance its appeal.

Bad part is that bajaj is still not selling proper power parts here, they are just selling stickers here. stickers are priced high unlike the bike. I don't know how buying online will work. International shipping will add to cost.

If whole spectrum of power parts are coming here, It will help the brand. and the attitude of public towards biking will change gradually as they accept it as a life style.

I don't expect Tanks for Dukes in near future since they are still not available for 690 (14L tank will not give much range for it) and Dukes are pure urban street bikes, outside our nation it will not be used much for touring. I don't know. just a guess.

don't care for a bigger fuel tank. 10 l in a go is enough for me. don't intend to take it to leh (would'nt buy this bike if had that in mind anyway).

windshield and a soft seat option would be must have for me though. also suspension setup must be adjustable to make it really soft when there are no twisties or not in a mood and road is bad.

What if KTM India sells the 390 with the MRF tyres and possibly no ABS

That would be a nightmare. I'm sure KTM would never do such a thing because then it would hit hard on the sales.

But Bajaj will have another problem if they launch the bike with Metzelers, tire replacement costs would go sky high!!

Even in that case we can source ABS instrumentation from outside as it should be compatible with bikes sold here.

Well, you win some you lose some. Isn't it?

Anyways.. it could still come out cheaper if you compare tyres+brake pad costs for CBR250R ABS .

As far as the specifications mentioned on the website, it clearly states that

Lets worry about the MRF tyres if/when it gets listed on the India website.
