R15s have only 3000Kms of service interval.

About the parts pricing, the Duke-200 is cheaper than R15.

Being R25 a twin, the service interval may be 5k-6K.
Hey I think the recommended oil change/oil filter change interval in the manual for the N250R is 12K ? Spark plugs at around 18-19 k, at least going by Kawi forums worldwide?

I never gave such wrong info duffer, I rather prompted that such info of a single R25 has been imported in India was shared by Meghan of gaadi.com.
In the article he mentioned about the cargo charges, and so super duper flop bloggers of India didnt took time to claim a false report on it, and secondly Meghan suggested that R&D Yamaha India has imported it to check, innovate and test the bike for Indian conditions.

So ya cant speculate rather cant spread a false rumor on which street will it be tested, but yes Haryana plant may be working on it, so be ready with cams and cameras and bazooka lenses, kaun kahan kab dikh jaye {Trans: who, where when you can see what ]

Whatever maybe the price Yamaha puts it, I just hope it can be as much or more fun like R15 while doing those cornerings. Just hope that the handling will be super crisp because of that tubular diamond frame. Yamaha launch it sooner, cause we will not be able to hold our breath for so long.

Wont be surprised if you are disappointed.

R6 being less powerful and lighter still corners much much better than the mighty R1. True story.

R15 corners like a gem. Yupp. N250r doesn't. CBR250r doesnt. So will not the R25.
Reason: Those tubes and that low seat height will make it a better tourer than an agile track tool.
Being more powerful doesn't make it easy to corner. As a matter of fact, you might not even have a higher exist speed just because the engine is powerful.

The R15, especially the version 2, was chiselled into corner carving. Focussed much more to make better lean angles.

Yamaha designed the R25 to be a fantastic everyday bike for the world.

It'll be a gem too. But in the lines of practicality, not corner craving.

Bottom line: R15 is still the best looking motorcycle on the face of this planet. :P

Well then I will ride my R15 when in the cornering mood. And the R25 when going out for long rides. I am ready to enjoy the best of both worlds as I'm not selling my loved R15 at all.

i believe If R25 is launched in india, we may witness a lower compression bike somewhere around 10.7:1 in order to ensure that the engine knocking doesn't take place due to fuel adulteration outside the major city premises. Guys please correct me if i am wrong on this: international model KTM 390 has a higher compression ratio somewhere around 12.6:1 recommending 95 RON whereas the indian model has a lower compression ratio?

Ride any Yamaha bike and you will be surprised by its handling prowess. Even their tiny little scoot (RayZ & Alpha) handle, corner, filter like anything. Yamaha have always had handling and dynamics sorted out. I dont expect R25 to be as sharp as R15, however I wont be surprised if it did.

That's strange, as I have felt the Ninja to be the best handing bike (till 300 cc) in India (followed by the R15 and then the 200NS). The CBR250R does feel like a ship in comparo..

But the Ninja definitely is much more sharper and surer in handling on anything on sale in India, despite its tubular frame.

I doubt that. I have had the oppurtunity to live with Duke 200, R15 and a Ninja 250. I personally feel R15 handles best, corners better and filters through traffic like its no ones business.

Next comes the Duke, it is fun in its own way. And then probably Ninja 250. 200 NS isnt in that league so far. I am so tempted to put my RayZ ahead of Duke. Please do not kill me for not agreeing to your point of view...
