Where is the leak? Could you please post a pic? Is it between head and cylinder?Originally posted by shashank9 View Postand there is some oil leakages also from the engine..for that i guess i have to replace the gaskit..HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Re: please help me guys
You are really confusing. Are you sure TPS is removed? TPS is the black cylindrical thing with wires connected to it; it is attached to carburetor on the left side of the carb. Regarding the coil, do you mean to say that the coil is fixed to your carb from another bike? Do you have the photo of it?
Now I got a doubt as to your carb slide and spring are working or some mechanic removed them

the first picture shows the oil leakages
the third i installed a new carburetor insulator
the fourth is where the coil actually was (ignition coil may be)
and the last one the view from the right side..
and about the TPS you told its in the tool box..of the bike..
and carb slide and spring are there..and sliding properly...
so what could be the problem..?? engine valves ? clutch plates ?? please tell me..

The oil leak seems to be from the Timing sprocket door, and the exhaust Valve door. The place indicated by you as the place for coil, houses the stator plate...was any coil replaced inside ? which one, and why ?Originally posted by shashank9 View Postthe first picture shows the oil leakages

Your problem seems to be lean AFR and Throttle cable getting stuck.
Set AFR at 3.5 turns and check for throttle "B" cable binding...if required change the throttle cable. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Re: please help me guys
First, the oil leak seems to be from the tappet cover on the head, as well as from the cam chain cover. Replace the O rings of both the covers and tighten them well. The cam chain cover will have a gasket too along with O ring, replace it too.
Second, the TPS is missing :O. Find the mechanic who removed it and hit his head with a boulder. He might have needed a TPS for another customer and pulled it from your bike. Without TPS, bikes idle would rough, knocking in lower rpms, and there would be hesitation to pull. You need the TPS for proper functioning of the bike. Get the TPS or you need to get a new carburetor.
Third, regarding the coil, it seems you are mentioning about the Stator coil which generates power for the bike. Why did the mechanic replace that? and that too from another old bike? Hope you are talking about the one in the following pic.

And as PSR said, check the throttle cable. When you pull the throttle and leave, it should return to closed position without any hesitation. Replace the cables if needed.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 01-28-2014, 03:30 PM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

1. i will get the o rings replaced..
2.TPS is in the toolbox itself i will get it fixed from mechanic..(he removed it because he said that the bike gave jerks on low speeds cause of that and it needs to be replaced..)
3. there's a rotor in between the stator coil which he replaced the place where the center portion is hollow in your pic."not the whole big one" it was small like a motor
and i have replaced the throttle cables aslo..with new ones its coming bak to its original position on leaving
so by installing hte o rings and TPS back will it be ok..??
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
the coil was replaced because the bike gave jerks in initial running..
the problem with the bike now i that it giving very high rpm ..like it reaches 5k ..i also adjustd the air fuel but reducing it turns off the bike..its 4.5 turns exact

Re: please help me guys
Glad to hear the TPS is there with you. How did the mechanic check the TPS? Did he check with multimeter? You need to check the resistance and voltage values to see if the TPS is functioning properly. If you have a multimeter, you can check for yourself if the TPS is functioning or not.
Turn the AFR screw to 3.5 full turns.
You have to make sure the TPS is functioning properly, and then put it back for optimal running of the bike.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

no checked with his bare hands..:-)
so how to get it checked and where..?? no i dont have a multimeter ..:-( and what should be the resistance and voltage values.??

so there is no need to change the clutch plates or open the cylinder head for valves ..?? only this will work..? and what if the the tps is damaged,,? it comes for 3.5k !!
i have enquired abt its price..

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Have a small question ...
Do HMC sell any kind of carb rebuild Oring and nut-bolt kit? Cause I'm seeing that the screw heads are slightly disfigured. This is probably due to the HMC guys using one type of screwdriver and tightening the hell out of the screw..I was able to save them this time.but they may not survive another round of carb cleaning.
And I did ask the SVC here. They look at me as if I've asked for Unobtainium..

Re: please help me guys
Checked with bare hands? Was it physically damaged? If its in proper condition, you can check the functionality of it with a multimeter. There are three wires that come out of TPS and are inserted into a female socket. End to end resistance should be 5k ohms. From center to one end should vary between 0 to 5k or 5k to 0 ohms when the throttle is opened. You can see how to test these values in the following video. Observe the connectors carefully. First I checked the resistance end to end, which showed 4.75k ohms. Next I checked resistance between center and left side, which showed around 0.5k ohms with throttle closed and increased to 5k ohms when throttle is opened slowly. Next I checked resistance between center and right side in the same way and it showed 5k ohms at throttle closed, and decreased gradually to .5k ohms when throttle is opened fully. The video may not be very clear, but will give you an idea.Originally posted by shashank9 View Post:-D

To check the voltage you need to connect the TPS to carb. You need to check the voltage coming out in the center wire with ignition key ON position. The voltage should vary gradually and smoothly between 0.5 volts to 4.5 volts with throttle opening.
First make sure everything else other than engine is alright.
Also, when you mean 4.5 turns of AFR screw do you mean full turns or half turns? It should be a full turn. 3.5 full turns is an optimum level.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 01-28-2014, 06:48 PM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Re: please help me guys
I have been doing fuel efficiency test runs for the past two weeks, both ripping and doing slow runs at 60-70kmph. Ripping at 100-110kmph I got 38. And with the slow runs I have been getting 42+ consistently. I had my doubts so did a couple of more runs. Today I achieved a whooping 46.21!! Bliss

Re: please help me guys
There are no repair kits. You may get them on order. I have faced this issue many times, so I always carry my own screw driver whenever I give the bike for service, and I will make them use only my screwdriver.Originally posted by Manoj76 View PostHave a small question ...
