I was flashing the high beam which is the projector it has a HID in it. The low beam was turned of using a special switch that was retrofitted to avoid battery burn out which leads to start up issues in SBK bikes with HID's. This is because the first draw of power for HID igniters will pull the ams of the battery's evading to the bike not starting this is why people have notion that HID DRL kill the battery. Partially true for city commuters when fans are running full swing

Guys get good quality retro-fit kits from the theretrofitsource.com and do your installs. I have twin projector HID on my Ninja 650 running for the past 6 months. No Battery issues nothing, starts at the first button press even after a month of non-usage.

18 months on busa with a 2 year old battery had issue of battery drain only once. Got mine form JC road 1200 buck per beam. Was the same company they were selling in the us for 100usd as well as in the showroom for 6k.

When buying you Need to check the power draw carefully on the ballast and igniters else it will kill the battery soon ...

Got this for 2100 from alibhai marg, grant road, munbai. Has high/low in one projector and 8000K HID (4300K is the best though) just loved the DRL. Working good since april, this year. No issues whatsoever with the battery. Have no idea about flashing though. But even though being 8000K, its anyday better than stock bulb on my impulse.

What's the temperature of the high beam HID? If it's possible to flash HID then I think I will opt for it.
                I am back!

                  Hi all,
I am new to this forum.I have gone through all the pages of this thread as I am also facing the dim lighting problem for my pulsar180 ug3 version-digital one.I frequently visit several places . Night drive mostly 4-5 hours max till 11 PM max.

I got few questions at this point that point.

                  DC part-
1.Can I rewind avenger 180 coil and put it on to my pulsar180 to glow 2 Projectors?
2.I don't want to change the AC setup as I heard frequent battery issue. These projectors will be extra.Whenever required I will turn them on . I will fix them on handle bar. So It will be AC/DC combination.
                  3.I have estimated cost
                  New Avenger coil-960
                  Rewinding with higher coil-1500
                  Relay-200
                  Switch-20
3inch Projector with 4300k HID--8000[AES] for low Beam
2 inch Projector with 6000K HID-2200[AES MG1/May be a local one] for High Beam
                  Housing for these projector-300 pair
                  Appe RR-1600
                  Fitting-250
                  Are they ok?

                  AC part:
I will upgrade 35W 12V bulb with 55W/60W OSRAM Night breaker

I am doing this project for my pulsar 180.
Are these points valid. Please guide me.

I would still stick to the Morimotto retro kits, the quality of their wiring kit, relay, projectors is far better than the cheap chinese stuff. Check the below link.

                      Hi,

Please suggest a 'NightBreaker' for FZs. I tried searching through but no specific answer, maybe search wasn't good enough; hence posting. I am looking for a hassle-free and 'plug & play' kind of a product without much to do with coils & wiring. Osram & Philips are the lingering names but can anyone give a model & spec? Stock is 12V35W / 35W+35W and under-powered IMHO.

                      Thanks,

@chaosaddict : I guess you already know, but Osram Nightbreaker 60/55W is plug and play in FZ. It will be lot better than stock and you might also have to focus the headlamp for better throw. Should cost 500-600 for a single bulb depending on your bakar .. err bargaining skills
