How much better do you think regular halogen 55/60w bulbs would be ?
I was thinking of getting Bosch halogens.. As i couldn't source philips or osram bulbs here

Regular 60/55W will no doubt be better than the stock 35W but by how much, I am not really sure. But it costs in range of 100-150 which should be worth it.

The main advantage of Nightbreakers or Extreme Vision headlamps is that the light throw goes much farther than normal bulbs and also being brighter & slightly whiter, which can be really helpful riding at night on highways but its almost five times costlier than normal ones!

There are some ebay sellers who sell genuine bulbs, maybe you can get it from them (Look for the number of units sold of that item, that usually tells the story ) or you can try the Bosch bulb and stick to it if you are happy.

Thanks.. Well yaa, 100-150₹ is worth even a modest of improvement..
I had searched a lott in the market.. Most just try to sell the chinese blue tinted bulbs for some 200-300₹..while is a total waste..
Actually, I have my class till late, approx 8:30pm.. So with day time getting smaller, have to ride some 5-6 kms on highway and the stock headlamps just $uck.. Will looks again for nightbreakers and if couldn't source them, will get regular Bosch halogens..
I am not into ebay.. Have had my share of bad luck there.. So i try not to buy from it..

I am new to this forum.I have gone through all the pages of this thread as I am also facing the dim lighting problem for my pulsar180 ug3 version-digital one.I frequently visit several places . Night drive mostly 4-5 hours max till 11 PM max.

I got few questions at this point that point.

            DC part-
1.Can I rewind avenger 180 coil and put it on to my pulsar180 to glow 2 Projectors?
2.I don't want to change the AC setup as I heard frequent battery issue. These projectors will be extra.Whenever required I will turn them on . I will fix them on handle bar. So It will be AC/DC combination.
            3.I have estimated cost
            New Avenger coil-960
            Rewinding with higher coil-1500
            Relay-200
            Switch-20
3inch Projector with 4300k HID--8000[AES] for low Beam
2 inch Projector with 6000K HID-2200[AES MG1/May be a local one] for High Beam
            Housing for these projector-300 pair
            Appe RR-1600
            Fitting-250
            Are they ok?

            AC part:
I will upgrade 35W 12V bulb with 55W/60W OSRAM Night breaker

I am doing this project for my pulsar 180.
Are these points valid. Please guide me.
Bump...pls help me to get this desired setup

Guys, I own Yamaha FZ-S and have always had issue with the headlamp brightness. I have spare bulbs from my car. Can that be used? Its 55/60W bulb.

Can someone shed knowledge on the same.

Speaking of lights, on a p220, do you normally use a 35W HID or a 55W HID for better results on the low beam? Which suits better in the long run? Long term users please comment....

                  • Require Some Help fitting Angel Eyes on my Pulsar 220

                    Hello All,
I'm trying to fit angel eyes of my pulsar 220.
Problem is i can't seem to open the project lamp assembly.

I've tried prying it apart, loosening all the screws ( didn't help), and also tried melting the glue that holds the assembly together with a heat gun.
I really require some advice on this.
I just feel if i try any harder I'm going to end up breaking it.
Then I'm going to have to spend like 5K more and buy a new one.

The Angel eyes i have are a pair, so they are both for the high projector beam and the lower one.
I saw a few members who have done it on their bikes,
                    hence the plea of help.

This is the effect i'm hoping to achieve at the end of this.

Also how is the blue illumination achieved in the low beam..

                    Thank you.

Hi.. i need suggestion regarding headlight.. my ZMA is 1.5 yrs old... till date i dint change or modify a single thing.. .. but i always needed extra bit of light on road.. i feel the stock headlight is underpowered...
So i am thinking to fit a Halogen 55/60 watt... i dont want to fit HID as this is costly and illegal .. . i found OSRAM NIGHTBREAKER and Phillips Xtreme Vision are the two good halogen bulb....

are these bulb direct fit to ZMA or do i need to put relay and high ampere battery ?? if i just plug n play in stock set up will it harm ZMA electrical ??

As 55/60 watt generate higher temperature ; will this damage the stock reflector ?? who is the Stock bulb manufacturer for ZMA ??

Osram NB and Phillips EV both are good, however I would suggest the NB over EV as they are slightly more yellow and are marginally better than EV

Yes they are a direct fit.
Normally you won't need a relay/high ampere battery.
No it won't harm stock electricals/stock reflector, anything beyond 60/55w definitely will.
Halonix 12v 35/35w is the stock bulb.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a headlight upgrade for my pulsar 150 ug 4.5. The stock headlights suck big time. Kinda like a candle in the wind. . Since I do a lot highway riding at night, I'm in need of better lighting. I was wondering whether I could fit a osram nightbreaker + 55/60w without making any electrical changes to the bike like adding relays, coil rewinding etc. I'm a total dummie when it comes to electricals so would need your help.
