The other day, I was riding with the HID ON & suddenly it flickered & went OFF.. I've changed the fuse & checked the wiring but the HID does not work.. The non-HID beam is working fine.. Has the life of the hid come to an end? Its ~ 2 years old.

I'm thinking to go for a 3200 or 4300k bi xenon..will the pass button work or will it behave like a normal hid?

        • 35/35W Light

Hello bikers, my current bike is honda shine. I'm facing a problem with the light intensity. During the fog/rain the bulb light intensity appeared very dull, is there any good brand for 35/35w which gives be better visibility during such condition. My bike's current bulb is Halonix-HS1-PTX43T-35/35W.

what am I looking at the intruder 800 or 1800 Rr unit?

some more details how did it stop workin etc. will help if it can be repaired by me or a replacement used replacement got for you.

some details by taking a stab... 1800 is called the boulevard m109r .

So I assume this is what your looking for. 105 usd with shipping for a used one. Not including the duty and clearance charges which will not be more than 60% you will have to pick it in Bangalore.

                  Thank you, Snehith!

Harish, thank you for the quick response. its off a 1800/m109r. The bike reached me with a dead battery and i narrowed it down to a blown RR. When i pulled out the RR, i noticed it was cracked and also an aftermarket piece. Looks like someone has done some jugaad in the past. The date on the RR seems to be 2010.

Im looking for a local RR so that i can use the bike till the new one reaches me.

DO NOT USE A LOCAL one it will not regulate the power leading to like burnt wiring and short circut.
Either get a new or used one off a 2010 M1800. am in paris week 2 of Nov can get you a used one in 10-15 days if you need it.

cost should be with in 160USD for used part incl. of duties and shipping to your location. let me know cos am listing parts and shops to get them from in paris for other friends also.

                      Hi Guys,

I own an R15v2 and I find the stock lights are not at all sufficient. I am going for a long ride this weekend which would consist of night riding as well.

                      I have 4 questions.

1.Can go for a higher wattage more powerful bulb? (I need much more light)

2.If yes , please suggest which to go for. A very noob question, can I use 4300K bulbs without ballast?

                      3.Is 4300K a plug n play or do I need a whole setup.

Also it should not be a bomb on the pocket as its month end.

4.Also can I get any of these in and aournd whitefeild bangalore?

1.Can go for a higher wattage more powerful bulb? (I need much more light)
Yes - 55 w has been done on a r15 of my friend

2.If yes , please suggest which to go for. A very noob question, can I use 4300K bulbs without ballast?
Philips has standard halogens 55w with the 4300k color rating. Is there since it a halogen there is not need for a ballast.
If your in Bangalore call spree scooter house you can get a HID for 1250 per beam, Nikki there can hook you up.

                          3.Is 4300K a plug n play or do I need a whole setup.
Since am recommending to replace the old bulbs with 55w 4300k halogen bulbs it's a straight figment. Ballasts are needed only for hid.

Just remember that the color temp of the buls are measured as 3800k yellow 4300k white 6000k slight blue. Any higher color temp make the light bluer and not at all recommended. If you ask me anything higher than 4300k won't help from my exp of using this on my cars and bikes.

Also it should not be a bomb on the pocket as its month end.
philips set of 2 bugs is 1200 to 1500 not more than that

4.Also can I get any of these in and aournd whitefeild bangalore?
Yes search for any car accessory store they have Philips bulbs with color rating of 4300k. Carry your old bulb so they can get you the right fitment.
