Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Hello! I own a 2011 Hond activa. I have a few questions that I would like you to help me with.
1) Is it adviceable to use a 100/90 head lamp in place of stock,as i feel it is inadequate.
2) Will a 5ah battery be adequate to support a 100/90 head lamp in direct dc mode over a relay.
3) Will the 5ah battery charge over the stock coil settings.
4) Is it possible to convert the turn signals, brake light, park signal, console light bulbs to led bulbs. Pls state the type of stock buls used and if possible give info on suitable led replacement.

1. No. 100/90W is too high power for your bike. possible meltdown reflector and plastics. 55/60W is recomended. or HID kit.
2. 100W bulb require more than 8A current. so you have to change charging circuit to charge battery at 8+A even in idle. its practically impossible
3. No.
4. Yes. however for turn signal bulbs, you have to change flasher to LED friendly flasher or put dummy load resistors with bulbs. others (park, console, break, tail can directly replace with LEDs)

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Hs1 is the younger brother of H4.. I read it somewhere.. Same design socket on both, only difference is H4 is for larger vehicles, while Hs1 is for two wheelers..Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostGuys which socket type (hs1,h4,h1..) is a direct fit for R15?? Fix it in the one you use more. Some people use LowBeam more, some High. I use High Beam more so I would have put it in High Beam. Better still, get one more!Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostActually bought it because my low beam was fused so should i fix it in the low beam section or should i fix it in the highbeam and exchange the stock high beam lamp to low beam dont say buy another one :P

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
It sure provides better illumination than stock if connected through a relay in bikes which have 35W/35W or even 55W/60W stock lamp. Dont know if you'll have to connect a relay for p220 to get the optimum performance out of the bulb. It emits a white light which is on the yellower tint rather than blue tint. I've heard blue coloured NB's are not genuine. Have you not fixed it up yet????Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostDoes it really provides better illumination than the stockones??? whici colour does it emits???
