these only burns hero honda reflectors.... These hh reflectors are one poor quality.... I used 55/60 for more than a year... Reflector still like new..... And if the reflectors are capable of running a hid i dont think there will b problems running a 55/60 halogen.... Btw after running my hid for 10 mins my visor gets so hot that i cant even touch it... So think how hot the reflectors are.... One should agree that tvs makes the best reflectors in business....

i dont know about this socket type much... The other memberas will help you about this. But i wont suggest 35 watts bluish halogen coz its just waste. Will be worse than your stock.... If you want whitish light then go for 55 watts....and if u want 35 watts then stick to your current setup..... As 35 watts whitish halogen have no light at all moreover it looks damn cheap when it glows.... 55 watts philips night vision is a good option and it produces pure white light... I have another idea which i told to my frnd and hez currently running that setup on his pulsar 150.... Light is awesum... Just look for a used pulsar 220 reflector somewhere....the upper reflector...high beam wala... U'll get it in junkyards or chorbazar.... Its one superb reflector.... Put that inside ur reflector, try to attach it by some means and paint your stock reflector matt black.... Now the 220 reflector is your primary reflector.... Then put the 55/60 philips night vision inside it and you are ready to go.... It looks like a projector setup and trust me the light output is just amazing.... And moreover it gives your bike a mean look with those smoked blacked reflectors. Try it bro and you wont regret..... Trucks will start dipping to low beam in front of you.... Hope my suggestion helps. And sorry for the poor english...

Yes, both are the same and can be used as they have with 3 locating pins on their flanges.

          • Hi Gurus of DIY/HIDs/Halogens/Etc.!!!,

I own a REE (Royal Enfield Electra),June' 11 model with ES&14A Battery. I installed 1 60/55 Philips Vision Plus +100% H4 bulb (made in Germany)&fixed it, as it was a P&P fit. I'd originally a 35W Philips(stock) which was poor in luminance. The 60/55 did wonders (low&high)during my night travel & never felt any flicker of the HL when operating all (Brake Light, Indicator, Indicator Buzzer,Horn, combined with Brake Light LED Flasher)or draining of my battery. Now my querry is:

            1. If I replace a 100/90 H4 Halo bulb by changing the seal beam (Amby/Gypsy clear lens type with P43t), do I need to have

            a) a special holder for the bulb or does it come along when I buy the seal
            beam
            b) Addl Relay
            c) If yes for b), what brand & spec.is recommended?
            2. Can I also additionally install HID with this setup?
            3. How will my battery perform for this setup
            a) 100/90 H4 Halogen bulb alone
            b) Addl with 1 35W HID

            Cheers,
            Satish,
            Chennai

mate mine is only 2 months old CBZ. So i cant do hard changes in any part it may affect my warranty. Actually i too love p220 lights. am i need to install only the reflector of the high beam of p220? i ask you because in p220 it has only highbeam (single ) no low beam or high beam in that. there is seperate light for low beam.
Can i install my current HS1 holder in this reflector?

anyone here tried 55w HS1 halogen or xenon in current Reflector of HH CBZ EXTREME 2009-2011 with current ac setup with out altering anything? please post photo too.

it wont affect warranty brother coz you are not changing any parts or messing with the electrical system. Everything will be stock.... You just carefully need to open up the reflector and find a suitable position to hold the 220 reflector.... Not a single warranty will be void..... So dont worry.... and regardind the hi beam part it can handle both hi and low... In 220 its only high beam becoz the bulb is a single beam unit.. Its just a reflector, and can run any type of bulb
..... Your socket will do...just get a 55/60 bulb first and try it in your stock reflector.... If you like the light then try the above mod to get more light.... And now about the hid part... I have seen cbz extreames with hid...and my frnd is running hid in his hunk for 2 years..... No problem.... And if you fit hid dont at all go above 6000k if you want pure white and the best possible and maximum light.... The shopkeeper will say that the more the kelvin, more light...but its not true.... Mine is 6000k and trust me it blinds every vehicle on the road including buses, trucks, cars, bikes and pedestrians if i switch to hi beam.....and thanks to the superb tvs flame reflector for that.... Hope my suggestions help you.....

                      • HID's are cooler than Ordinary bulbs,AFAIK HID's haven't made any burns in reflectors on any bikes.

                          • Used projector assembly required

                            Hi All,

I am planning to do a DIY HID project and would require a (or pair) of used projector assemblies.
Can someone please advise where in bangalore i can find the same?
I know JC Road and shivajinagar but specific shop/ dealer names would be really helpful.

                            Thanks in advance.

                            Regards
