Nothing to worry about if the thump has reduced just make sure there are no air leaks in the induction manifold. Remove the spark plug to make a note of the reading. If possible try do a PUC test.

With the torn carb rubber boot it would suck more air and not to mention unfiltered air. Any bike when its fed with more air it makes that air intake noise (k & n concept).Originally posted by petrolhead_chn View Post

It does appear to shut down. It shuts down randomly, say, from 60kmpl I slow down for a turn or even when I stop at signals. It starts right back. The idle screw setting seems good.Originally posted by gyan_recl350 View PostDo you see any loss in power or symptoms of Bull dying at idling or difficulty in cold starts now as compared to before?

Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.
A good mechanic will let you watch even without charging you for it. |
It is funny to know that we've been imitated and copied so well and surprising when we notice our mistakes are copied as well.

If the bike dies on You, it could a clogged jet. Where are You located? Try joining a bullet group if there is one in Your city, You could gain more knowledge from fellow thumpers and join weekend rides.Last edited by Ri$hi; 02-02-2014, 09:05 AM.

Re: Choosing a Royal Enfield? Ask here...
Which one long bottle or short bottle? If you want a irritating sound at higher revvs which would beat the hell out of everyone's ear then go for long bottle version of it, if you want to shower a little bit mercy then go gor short bottle version of it. Bhai both are not good for engine, sound is irritating at high speeds. Don't invite enemies on the road by using themOriginally posted by tej1 View PostHello friends

1. Most important, get the carb tuned properly. Take help of spark plug color to find the setting
2. Next check if the spark is firing all fine, timing etc. If problem is still there then
3. Get the carburetor cleaned and checked. Checked for jets, float etc, boot connection etc
4. If you have done puc before, do it now to compare two. If your bull is dying because of being getting less fuel then ideally your puc should show less emission
Do keep us updated

Which year make buddy? Completely stock?Originally posted by RonnieB View PostClassic chrome 500 misfiring even after servicing? Any know solutions?
Could be tuning/mapping issue (fuel/air mixture issue), you could be running the mixture rich.Originally posted by RonnieB View PostYeah generally cold starts low speed low rpm idling
Could be Spark Plug or spark timing issue.

Ok but does the misfiring comes only while decelerating without engaging clutch or normally also it comes? Also is it on cold starts or it is there even after engine is warmed up properly?Originally posted by RonnieB View PostYeah generally cold starts low speed low rpm idling

Indori is a nice choice if you want that typical CI kind of sound characteristics but then don't expect it to be loud and thunderousOriginally posted by tej1 View PostPlss suggest me howz indori
