Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
That means they are not parallel. The left fork is slightly behind the right. Hence it pulls to left, when both the hands are off the bike.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View Post

That's weird. Did you have any accident? If you had an accident most likely the fork pipe would have bent.Originally posted by Jackson Andrade View PostThat means they are not parallel. The left fork is slightly behind the right. Hence it pulls to left, when both the hands are off the bike.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Sorry, I'm not quite active in this forum now-a-days due to personal troubles.
I think the forks are not aligned properly, do the fork alignment and it should be okay. It is a simple process and should not take more than 15 minutes. Most of the times this is the cause of bike not moving on a straight line when the handlebars are not being held. It could be caused by a minor accident, hitting potholes (they are all over here) etc.
I'd provide a detailed procedure to align forks as soon as I reach home. In the meantime, you can use Google baba to gather info regarding fork alignment.I am back!

Yes. You understand it. But SVC wont. The vehicle was held like a baby. Not even a single scratch. As soon as the warranty peroid is over, then the service centre will respond. Thats their strategy. However i will fight with them until my problem is solved. In my opinion split handle bars tend more to vibrations than normal ones. Has anybody convertrd to normal single handlebar? I saw in google a photo of modded p220. Thatswhy asking. Thank you.Originally posted by Cleaner View PostSorry, I'm not quite active in this forum now-a-days due to personal troubles.

Why are you beating the dead cow? I don't let those idiots to touch my bike. They can only ruin the situation.Originally posted by Jackson Andrade View PostYes. You understand it. But SVC wont. P180 UG4 doesn't have vibrations. There are minute vibs at 4k RPM but they vanish after 10-15k kms. In theory I think, vibrations will be less on split ons as they are not as rigid as normal handlebars.Originally posted by Jackson Andrade View PostIn my opinion split handle bars tend more to vibrations than normal ones. Well there are vibrations on split handle bars & in time they get worse. I have modified the split handle bars to a Regular one. I got a custom iron plate designed to hold the U cups for straight handle bar. I used MS steel block & got it designed on Lathe machine. I have used a Hero Impulse handle bar & other mods required were only to change the Clutch cable pulsar 150 model. I had to reroute the Accelerator cable & all other wiring & switches were direct fit. its lot comfortable now & i get straight riding posture, which had solved a lot of back pain issue. There is also another friend who had directly drilled holes on the Handle plate where the clip on sit & installed a rally handle. Attaching the pics..

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
I have a pulsar 180ug4. Have done around 8k kms so far. Recently my bike has been giving low milage of about 30kmpl at 90kmph speeds. Also, the bike seems to lose power due to something like low air/fuel flow or vacuum even at a constant throttle feed during cruise at 70-80kmph speeds..is it normal? Also, the bike is vibrating from 4k rpm.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
I'm being offered a 2 year old (Completes 2 year on November, 2014) P180 UG4 with 19k kilometers on the odometer and insurance valid till November. Looks good overall, no crashes or signs of abuse, also I have been seeing this bike (Belongs to a fella in our college) regularly and he does not seem to be a rush rider. I test rode the bike and it felt okay, will need a good service and few other things as such as chain adjustment (The chain has at least another 5k kilometers left). He is asking 55k rupees which is too much in my opinion, I guess it should be below 50k rupees. What is your opinion on this, is it a good deal? Please suggest an appropriate price.I am back!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 180 (All Versions)
Hi,
I just bought a 2014 Pulsar 180. I have done 240 kms as of now. This is my first bike ever and I have a few questions. Please help !
1. Getting to neutral is hard especially when you are not in motion at a red light in traffic. Is there a fix for this ?
2. When riding in 2nd or 3rd gear, I hear noise similar to the one made by an old ceiling fan from the engine. Is this normal ?
3. Engine seems to be overheating at times and I smell a distinct odour similar to the one you get when burning a plastic cover ?
4. When riding with a pillion, full stand touches the ground at speed bumps. Tire pressure of 28 psi on the front and 32 in the rear with pillion as mentioned by bajaj doesn't seem to be doing justice to the bike performance. What is the maximum air pressure I can go for without causing any adverse effect to the tires or bike ?
Thanks.

i double thatOriginally posted by s1d View Post50k should be a fair price, 45k great deal.. anything below that means you are robbing that guy

for 2 years old Rs 55k does seem a lot, but if the engine/cosmetics are in good shape as you say, at 19k kms
tyres condition can help you bargain, if they are gonna need replacement soon, try to bargain down to 50k.
as s1d said, anything below 50 would be a steal.

I'm giving that guy a fair amount, he needs to bear the cost of transfer of ownership though.Originally posted by s1d View Post50k should be a fair price, 45k great deal.. anything below that means you are robbing that guy
Yeah, it does seem a lot. The tires have another 10k kms of life left. The insurance will have to be renewed which should be around 1600 rupees.Originally posted by mehuel View Posti double that
