Congratulatioms on getting your 2014 Pulsar 180, the battery indicator and Side stand indicators have exchanged their places if I'm not wrong.

It blinks( constant light) till the engine is started. And goes off while engine idling. Sorry but i didnt observe keenly the older versions.

Oh! Thanks for telling. I guess the switches are from 200NS now, are they still contactless(controlled by bcu) or contact type like on NS?
I found only one con on the bike,i.e., rear drum brake, a disc would have been a welcome change.

The design of the switch gear is the same as 2012 models and not same as NS. But the Control Unit may be different.

It's the same design as NS bro, what is the backlit colour? NS has Blue colour whereas Dtsi's have white backlit switches. Does it have auto-off indicators?
Regarding Chainset, get it from P220 , it feels more relaxed thouh slight decrease( very very low) occurs on low end but you will gain some xtra Kmph on top end. No ripping before 2000kms. Midrange was never a problem on pulsars. Never let the chain run dry.

PS: I know I ask a lot of questions, these are my last ones though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Now i can happily go for the 55w bulb. Thanks for clearing my doubt. My only fear was about the battery drain because the bike dont have a kickker to start

Some have done it. It's not worth the efforts and secondly P220's rear disk are poorer than our drums.

Well he doesn't know much. These days I see more 180 than 150.

These days, I think neutral is overrated. I don't use it at all.

I was going to bring up this thing before.
In my 5 years experience with many P180s, I have found that there are two distinctive types of P180 (UG4).

                                Type 1, (normal):
                                A) Very good ground clearance. Doesn't scrape at all.
                                B) Main stand doesn't scrape at all even when you're doing knee down cornering.
                                C) Forward leaned posture is maintained even with pillion.
                                D) Riding with pillion is very tasking on hands.
                                E) Rear suspension doesn't close the range on big pot holes even with pillion.

                                Type 2, (low-slung):
                                A) Not so good ground clearance, scrapes on nuked roads, scraping more often with pillion.
                                B) Main stand scrapes very easily when you're doing knee down cornering.
                                C) With pillion sitting behind, ergonomics changes, it turns into straight back posture and feels like riding a cruiser like avenger. (I have never ridden avenger but I have theories ).
                                D) Even with pillion, handling of the bike is still remains comfortable, considerably.
                                E) Rear suspension closes range on big pot holes easily with pillion.

With my experience let me categories the folks' bikes here into these categories,

                                Type 1, (normal) : me, @Taahir
                                Type 2, (low-slung): your, @jasmin Rider, @abhichotu.abhi, @anuplakade

                                Cause?
I think bajaj is using two different types of springs in rear suspension.

                                Tring tring @Cleaner, any clue?

                                6. The Pilot, brake, display, Headlight will not glow unless the Engine is started.
Why the heck baja thought it was good idea? I think this is a step back. They are clearly out of their minds.

Bajaj has perfected switches a long time back. I will say, not only their switches are better then any competitor's but also generation ahead. Period.
You should change that switch under warranty. I have read every post on this thread and at no point nobody ever had any problem with pass switch.

If I'm not wrong, that's not manufacturing defect, it was misaligned when screwed to petrol tank. The bottom part of cowls are connected to tank with the help of velcro (true story!), disconnect them at bottom side by pulling them, then realign and stick'em back.
