Quite right actually , for washing the bike and air-filter cleaning are the few things they do ok .. barely ok . I say barely because most often additional scratches , dents and cracked plastics shall appear after the service too , be careful to check it at once .

Yes , they do use the spent 10w30 engine oil to lube drive chain . They even use the same 10w30 engine oil on the foam air-filters after cleaning it with your own petrol from your bike's tank .

just ask them to wash the bike, change the engine oil, clean airfilter and tigthen the chain. your service is over.do not let them do anything extra with the bike as they will only create problems.in my extreme for the three free services i am doing the same and hero honda bikes do not require any thing alse.
Okay Thanks bro. After servicing, what's the speed limit of Hunk ?

        • Disc brake oil replacement is not only safety but also necessary because after some times the oil gets gummy and sticky. If the oil is not changed then it will damage master cylinder piston and also caliper pistons and impair performance of disc.So if oil is not replaced at time then the major and minor kit also needs to be replaced and whole brake system to be cleaned by spirit. So its better to change oil om time.

          • Took the delivery of my new CBZ Xtreme on 26/06 with odo counting 3kms.

Currently driving the bike under 45kms speed and just under 4K rpm. Just 125kms run till now. Big bike feeling in terms of size and weight. Gear shifting is bit hard, horns are just average, engine is smooth and so far didn't feel any vibrations.

Over all as on date satisfied. Planning to take the bike a long journey (300 - 400kms) in this weekend. Till today had run the bike not more than 20 minutes as the distance between the house and office is just 6kms that too on the highway. Let's see how the bike behaves in long run.

            Ram.

Hi thanks. The route to kollihills is Bangalore - Salem - Rasipuram - Kalappanaikanpatti - kollihills. The 70 hairpin bends from down hill to top of the hill is with only 28kms. The roads are very narrow and only small buses using these roads. You can google for further information on this route.

Congo, I've ridden both extreme and Hunk.. Both are ok in smooth. Not annoying vibes but acceptable. Run-in period is too much annoying. Hope you complete it.

Hi Thanks. Yes it is very much painful. Riding daily in the highway, when old scooty's and other bikes move on ahead of me, feeling painful.

OT - Does this new Avenger 220 doesn't need any run in formalities? Y'day a new blue avenger with temp registration number zooming on the BETL with more than 70kmph

Either that rider don't know anything about bikes or he may not be the owner of that bike at all
