Thanks brother. Yesterday morning went to kolli hills at 4 am reached by 11am and returned to b'lore by 8 pm.It'about 580 km .Rs.800/- on petrol (T.N.) On average speed i.e.11ltr petrol and so about 50 km/ltr. I could climb all 70 hair pins on 4th gear occasionally changed to 3rd when other vehicles come against,other wise in 5th the bike pulled with out any problems.Originally posted by Ramp View PostHi thanks. The route to kollihills is Bangalore - Salem - Rasipuram - Kalappanaikanpatti - kollihills. The 70 hairpin bends from down hill to top of the hill is with only 28kms. The roads are very narrow and only small buses using these roads. You can google for further information on this route.

No i think he was the owner. Wearing the same colour open face helmet and the joy on his face, he must be the owner. Any how this is OT.Originally posted by SatSon View PostMostly what you saw would be new bikes being brought to rural show rooms from near by main dealers. And the guys who rides them could be mechanics / sales people!
Went on 150kms stretch on Sunday on the NICE road and the new bike behaved well. Felt it was even smoother after riding more than 30 minutes. Head light and the horn is sufficient for this 45kmph speed, but i doubt on the higher speeds.

pl.checkOriginally posted by Ramp View PostHi Thanks. Yes it is very much painful. Riding daily in the highway, when old scooty's and other bikes move on ahead of me, feeling painful.
OT - Does this new Avenger 220 doesn't need any run in formalities? Y'day a new blue avenger with temp registration number zooming on the BETL with more than 70kmph

70kmph is still acceptable for a 220 cc engine.Originally posted by Ramp View PostHi Thanks. Yes it is very much painful. Riding daily in the highway, when old scooty's and other bikes move on ahead of me, feeling painful.

Dont know about Avenger 220, But P220 run-in was to be below 5k RPM and it does 81kmph at 5k RPM
. so 70kmph will be below 5k RPM and within the run-in limit.

Although this is OT, but the manual for Avenger 220 Dtsi says 65Km/Hr as the max limit for first 1000 Kms.Originally posted by manohar_manu View Post70kmph is still acceptable for a 220 cc engine.

Pl.check your air filter and clean ,change if needed.If O.k.check the spark plug and clean if needed.
Pull the choke lever down, arrow mark is there.Start as usual.,pressing the start switch. Don't rotate the accelerator. When engine is steady(may be 1 or 2 min) push back the choke lever. and start riding.
Never ride with choke.
NGK irridium SP is arround 550/- but for cbz I doubt recommendation is there.Check their site."work for cause n not for applause". "live life 2 express n not 2 impress" ."dont strive to make ur presences noticed, just make ur absence felt".

After 1st servicing, I checked my mileage 2 times before posting here.
Type : Reserve to Reserve
City - 10% + Highway 90%
1st Mileage test is 58.72 Km/Liter - Took bike to 72 Kmph , average speed -> 45 - 60 Kmph
2nd Mileage test is 61.65 Km/Liter - Average speed 45 - 52Kmph ( Highest in Hunk, i think
)
Overall, I'm very happpyyy and i think i did my Engine break-in correctly . I'll post my figures again in City only

, but now i cant ride her that much constant or less then 50kmph so no point of getting good mileage
, but once I drove my bike constant on 45-50kmph and I got 61KMPL...
