Sir , are you sure about exhaust tappet?because noise is after engine warm up ,say after 10km run till it gets cool during slow run & idle only? Pls confirm sir so that i can use bike calmly until the service , because i am very much worried about this & i am new to all this bike sciences , your valuable reply 7 support of seniors is required

Mine looks to be the same issue. Looks like my tappets need setting. It's not as pronounced, but the symptoms are the same. Engine is warm, more pronounced when idling. Almost like a ringing noise continuously. Mild, yet audible.

so is it a big issue? bike is fine ?

I assume not. But yes, I am going to get it checked ASAP.

Besides that, bike is absolutely fine.

Guys, what you use to lubricate your bike chain, I think used engine oil can be best to use to lubricate our bike chains, isn't it?
One can fill a bottle, at the time of servicing of your bike and can use it twice or thrice in a week....

Do not use used engine oil for lubricating chain, I think this has been repeated several times in this thread. Request you to go through previous pages.
Use SAE 90 gear oil for this. You can check your bike's manual too.

I am the owner of CBZ extreme. which i brought from JCT MOTORS trivandrum at august 2011 which is 13 months now. I also own extended warranty. Now there is a noise from my engine which is from Camshaft bearing identified by a friend of mine who is working in a Hero motor corp service center not in trivandrum. My service are up to date from authorised Hero service centers. first 3 free service done from JCT MOTORS where i brought the bike another 2 free done from a authorised service center from parasala SANJO motors due to my job training there. last free service done from JCT Motors where i brought the bike. When i visit JCT Motors for changing Camshaft they are saying that they cant change with in warrant because i done 2 services not there. but i done that 2 from authorized service center. but they are not willing to change in warranty please kindly help me from this. waiting for a favorable response.

i send this complain to HMC now let me see what they can do. if they will not help me i am going to take a short film about what i faced by choosing Hero motor corp

Write another letter / email to the higher management of that showroom and politely tell them that you will have to pull them to consumer court .

worst case possibility you can always approach the consumer court provided everything is correct on your side ( i hope that will be a last option).

Sad to say that there are many many formalities etc etc in Hero services

the thing i learned from experience is
Hero honda good quality engine and parts (at present dnt knw some saying that they are puting hero parts) but very very poor service they will not change anything in warranty very easily.

But Bajaj build quality of spares not soo good but the service is very good and they will change in warranty even if you done some service in authorized service center outside state too. they only check all the services done correctly from any authorized service centers.

last year my friend brought p135 from deedi bajaj in trivandrum and done first 2 services at banglore authorised service center and after that he done remaining at trivandrum. but he got warranty and changed piston etc etc most of the expensive engine parts very easily he only need to pay labour, oil etcc and that too 2 times. because they are giving 30k kms engine warranty.

I dont think there is anything called "hero parts" and even if hero manufactures spares , it will meet every quality standard that is necessary to bring out the best bike .

you will have to take up the issue with ASC very seriously and practise your consumer rights upto the fullest extent.

I am sure that Hero still manufactures reliable and quality bikes .

Dont worry , the current generation of Hero bikes are as good as bikes that were manufactured earlier under the same roof.

raise the issue and give the ASC a piece of your mind (quarrel if you have to , because its your hard earned money).

I got a mail from hero motorcorp regarding my complaint. they mention to contact the a guy with his number. when i enquire about that name he is the MD in that SVC. i will contact today and post the updates.

i am not here for quarelling mate what i am telling is from my experience. yesterday my friend new karizma hited a active while the activa suddenly turned with out any signal. the karizma alloys broken but nithing happened to activa jusrt need some patchwork. suddenly the activa guy wakeup and drove away.

Not telling you to quarell as such . The ASC guys will do anything to get away with their mistakes and justify what they have done.

Well reply from Hero is a good update and i am sure things will be sorted out easily now.
