Dear, I think you should shoot a strong mail to HMC ASAP. It is gross negligence and an appalling casual attitude on the SVC's part. Scan your bills and related docs and do not hesitate to keep the bosses informed on how well the customers are treated. I have had some similar experience, in fact a bit too much to digest and am currently in midst of a 2nd war with HMC. Let's see. Will keep this thread updated. For teasers - this is what happened when I dropped off my Hunk for a few days at the SVC for a fault that they had committed and I had to pay for THEIR NEGLIGENCE. Have a look

I already mailed Hero. Infact, I thought I'd send the same thing I posted here, but their website can't take more than 1000 characters. So I linked them to my post here. Hopefully they'll read it and they'll also read your comments on ASCs. IMO, their ASCs need a major overhaul.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View Post@ ashwin.terminator - I think you must send a angry mail to hero motocorp authorities about the complete problem, even if it resolve on Monday

I'm going to prakash motors fot my 1st service tomorrow ,I have a set of issues and ill make them to work in front of my eyes, this I have done for my old bike, I'm going to blast that srinivas tomorrow if something goes wrong ,he him self have called me to come tomorrowOriginally posted by ashwin.terminator View PostAs I reported earlier, I had a few issues with my bike, ranging from Handle Lock not locking properly, tappet noise, chain case fitment and engine oil leakage. I finally found the time to drop it off for service. I am not very well versed with the local mechanics here and so had thought that ASC would be the best option. And so, I left my bike with Prakash Motors, Bangalore for service on the 21st in the afternoon, I listed out the issues and asked them if I can pick up the bike at 2PM the next day, they very assuredly told me I could come and pick it up at 1PM itself. I was glad the issues would be resolved and went home thereafter knowing my bike was going to be better.
The next day, I reached the service center at 1:30PM, I was told to wait for 15 minutes as they were having their lunch. I obliged and waiting for around half an hour to 45 minutes. I noticed that my bike was just standing there and nothing was being done to it. The chain case was missing too. I asked the chap I spoke to the previous day regarding the issues asking him how much longer it's going to take, he said my chain case has gone for welding!
I was shocked and asked him why?! He said that the chain case wasn't fit properly and thus the threading had gotten messed up and thus was sent for welding but all the other issues have been fixed. I hesitantly agreed and went back to take my seat. I waited for another half and hour and went straight into the service bay after that, a mechanic asked me which bike was mine and I pointed out to my steed. He looked around for the chain case(which was lying around the whole time) and began fitting it onto the bike. Then I noticed that they'd welded the Swing Arm!
I asked him why was the swing arm welded. He said that because the Chain Case wasn't fit properly, the chain case holder off the upper half(the small raised portion on the swing arm closer to the front sprocket) was bent and when they tried to unbend it, it snapped off which is why it was given for welding. It looked like an OK job, so I said OK. Not like much can be done now anyway. He looked to have some trouble fitting the Chain Case back but then managed somehow. It was 3:30PM now. I asked him to tune the bike for mileage and the mechanic asked me what mileage do I get, I said 36. He said 36 is normal for this bike because 40kmpl is the maximum the Hunk returns. I gave him a shocked reaction and he promptly said the Karizma returns 25kmpl. What bullshit, seriously. My bike has returned 49kmpl once and 48 consistently. He then switched on the bike to let it idle for a while, I thought he was going to tunr the carb after the engine gets a little warm but he didn't. It was then I realized these fools had stolen some petrol as well. I clearly remember my bike having fuel well above the reserve level and the fuel tap was on the 'on' position. The fuel gauge now showed Reserve and the fuel tap was on reserve too! Moreover, these idiots had traveled 9km on the bike.
The worst thing being, right at the beginning, the make you sign the job sheet that absolves them of any liability in the event any damage occurs to the bike during 'storage and testing'. I was fed up but was glad I was finally getting to take the bike back home. They called the Service Supervisor to clear the bike. They rev the bike a bit and realize the oil is still leaking. They hadn't even changed the gasket I asked them to change because I know it was damaged. They told me to wait for a while but I asked if I could pick up the bike at around 6PM. They said yeah sure. I got home and called them at 6PM and the bike was still not ready. Now I need to wait till Monday to get the bike, hopefully. I am thoroughly annoyed at Prakash Motors and have decided to never ever leave my bike there for service ever again.

Spray a bit of petrol between the pads and then go out on a ride and keep jamming the brakes hard. It'll take a while, but they'll come back up to speed in a while. Believe me, I've sprayed WD-40 on my rear brake pads once and I did the same thing and they still give the same bike.Originally posted by Imran Syed View PostYeah , i cleaned the disk twice brakes are improving
Yes, I have Srinivas' number. I'm going tomorrow morning with my brother, if my bike is still not fixed, I'll give Srinivas a piece of my mind. A few pages back, I had mentioned about one of the bolts being negligently broken off by the SVC mechanic due to undue torque on it. The bolt was 1 of the 2 bolts that hold the exhaust outlet (engine side) in place. You can see the replaced bolt in this pic (the hex bolt on the right side). So this broke off, leaving the threaded part inside the engine head!! So I had no choice but to leave the bike with the SVC for 3-4 days. They do not do lathe work, so took the engine head to a lathe (to unscrew the jammed part inside) and after they returned the motorcycle to me, this is what they gave me back!
I have mailed HMC regional offices of Kolkata and Ranchi with attached pics and a scanned copy of the bill. Gross negligence and take-the-customers-for-granted callous attitude from the SVC guys.
