In case if u cant get cam chain, then u can also use nuts. I mean nut bolt wala nut. Tie small nuts in a string with a gap of 1~2 inch. Keep one side out and use that.
My maternal uncle (mama) makes an engines of scooter, bikes, cars and trucks. He is very well known and people take them to their work place & drop them home at their own cost because he is well expert in that.
My two maternal uncle i law have their lathe workshop which undertake the job of TATA steel company.
My dad was also a DIY at their time he had overhaul his bike engine, now because of his old he don't do it. All of the tools collection that i've post some time ago was his collection, he loves the tools a lot. He was working in TATA steel in loco depart making train engines or whatever.
He was also working in his home doing electronic work fixing tv's and all but later he left it and open a side by side business of videography and its still running. Not only this, I from very young age was helping my father doing all DIY's in home (only I NOT my brothers), even we've together installed water pump in home including fitting tank on the top and all pipes & taps in our home alone. We've done all the wirings, fitting switch in a ply board, fans, lighting and all things alone.
I & he also loves cameras and all, recently we've bought NIKON SLR D7000, therefore the photos which u people see (in splendor thread) have brilliant color and off very high quality.
He owned Royal Enfield standard 350 from 24+ years, have ran 3.5+ lacks kms, and at that time he bought at Rs.20,000 from showroom on road.

Therefore, i'm not only a DIY of bikes, but also for many things.
A hardcore from birth!
