My Hunk is 10K on ODO ! sometimes i can hear the noise from the engine when it is hot mostly i guess from tappets or time chain but don't know exactly what is it and it is very very rare like once in a month i can say.

    Any idea what will be??

several problems i m facing that the fork oil is leaking, the for a change i noticed that the oil is leaking form the rear shock as well.

the other problem is that when revved to above 6k rpm in any gear and left the exhaust sounds a little miss fire sound.

the third gear and the fifth gear are making noise.... third gear is making higher noise than fifth gear, it is clearly visible when i revv the engine hard, and as soon as i shift to fourth it vanishes. so what could be done to that?

and the what else should i get serviced because it almost 5000kms since i got it serviced.

plz help me ... as i like my bike very much and cant stand it watching in this condition.....

Have you got the fork seals replaced?
Generally oil does not leak from rear suspension, better get them checked and go for replacing them.

And what engine oil are you using?

even i was surprised to see oil leak from rear suspension.

i was using veedol super swift up till and planning to stick with it only

Hello all, I'm new here.. Currently own a 2007 CBZ Xtreme

Have to change the sprocket . Would like to go for Unicorn 15T
So can I change only the front sprocket or should I go for entire set? Currently I'm on a tight budget

Also my speed is 59kmph@5000rpm, I have noticed in new Xtreme(my friend's) it reaches 60kmph@4500rpm, SO is it because my sprocket is worn out?

When was the last time you replace clutch plates ? A worn clutch results in rpm - speed mismatch.

Dont go for unicorn 15T ,the gears will be too tall and drop in acceleration

heard great reviews on 15t on this thread itself.. I don't mind if acceleration is dropped by a few margin.
I only want to cruise at 80kmph

At my current setup, going speed over 80kmph(7000rpm) creates lots of Vibs over read footpegs :/

Well, you can get the front sprocket alone. It's cost you around 140 odd, Honda OE Spare Part.
How did you conclude that the front sprocket needs to be changed? Check your chain slack, although I'm not sure if this can affect RPM and speed to a great extent.

And the 15T, well, depends on the kind travel you do. If a majority of it is inside the city, you're better off with the stock setup. But if you do highway runs more, the 15T is a great swap to make.

And if you need to change your entire chain sprocket kit, try the Unicorn's. Keep the rear sprocket and get the front sprocket of the CBZ Xtreme. You'll get a Gear Ratio of 15/42. This makes it a little taller but not to the point you'll miss the acceleration. If cruising is your thing, make the swap.

Clutch Plate life varies a lot from rider to rider. Accelerating quickly, holding the clutch while braking and while turning, basically excessive use of the clutch lever can lead to dimished life of the clutch plates. 16k does sound too short though. The 2007 model has a digital speedo I think, just ride side by side and check your speeds. Calibration might me a little different. Just a random guess.

Installing rear sprocket of unicorn to cbz/hunk would be better than installing unicorn front 15T.
Decrease in acceleration and increase in top speed will be of less margin which is better than installing 15T unicorn

+1 to that , 15T drops accel and xtreme owners miss that short gear pickup, a rear 42T sprocket will do great if one is 50% city 50% highway runner.

hi as my new bore completed 1000k
yesterday went to test the top end performance

my bike touched 7.8rpm with pillion 110 kmph(my speed is wrong shows 10% more) that means it did 100 @ 7.8

post 90kmph it took much time to reach 110(k there is heavy wind,110/90 zapper-q)

according to 7.8rpm what is the actual speed

as my bore is new i dint pushed is after 10km(just once for checking top end)

                            so is there a problem?

                              Hi Guys,

I am riding HH Hunk 2008 model. bike has completed 45K. Mileage was dropped to 35-41 kmpl. 35 when ripped hard and 41 between 50-60kmph.
I mentioned my problem here, and I got the suggestion to
                              1. replace valves
                              2. clean ports
                              3. re-tune carb.
i did the same. now after 300kms i changed the engine oil and checked the mileage. its increased but for very less extent. now i am getting 36 when ripped hard and 42 when ride between 40 -60 kmph.

can you guys suggest what wrong with my bike? what further work needs to be done?
sprockets are worn out and battery is dead, does this impact mileage?
I kept these 2 works on hold. If i dont get ideal mileage, I am thinking to sell it and get some other bike with the same mileage where 35-40 mileage is worth. like ZMA, R15.

please let em know the probable cause of mileage drop down.

Riding a TPS equipped bike without battery will improper firing and damage to CDI . Also worn out chain drops the mileage . I would suggest change your sprockets and chain with brand DIAMOND OR ROLON , they are leading brands . Also use Veedol super swift 10W30 or shell AX7 10W40. Fill fuel from reputed bunk and revert back here . Cheers
