nice DIY Shoeb. btw, I think It was not needed.. everything looks so clean and greased. Also, applying very thin layer of grease behind pads makes the brakes silent.

Pads needed cleaning anyway so I went ahead and removed the caliper pins just to see how well it was lubricated.

Hats off to hero for maintaining quality and taking care at every step of production(mass). Each and every nut-bolt of the brakes has thread lock applied, every hose-pipe has a protective sleeve where there is a chace of rubbing against the brackets/hooks .........

I had cleaned the front brakes a few days ago but couldn't take any pictures.

I am also waiting for your comprehensive servicing guide.

Thanks for reply, I'll surely come probably this Sunday. I just tried to check the top speed and at 8k rpm it showed 102-103 kph and it reached 9k rpm after quite a time and my max speed was 111-112 kph only. Not sure if this is the top speed of all hunk, but still it feels less refined and more noisy than all extreme at same speeds. Maybe my carb needs cleaning and perhaps engine has to be tuned again as svc guys didn't allow us near bikes during 6th service and may have disturbed it. I get okish mileage of 42-45 kmpl in both city and highway ( generally i ride above 65-70 kmph on highway ).

At 5k RPM, the difference is 3kmph. Can this be attributed to a clogged carb, dirty air filter and a loose chain? :P Also, can you tell us what tools we'll need to tighten the chain and how to do it?

WhatsApp is a cross platform messenger. Uses an internet pack to deliver messages. I remember you saying you used to reply back here from your phone prior to the xBhp upgrade. If you have a Blackberry, Symbian, Android, Windows or an Apple phone, you can get WhatsApp. Check this link:
                WhatsApp :: Home

Also, Sibun. I haven't cleaned the carb yet, but I will tell you what else is happening. When I let the bike idle for a while, it shuts off by itself after a while. If not, if I slot it into gear and try to get moving, it initially feels like it's about to turn off just when I start moving and I need to open throttle a little more to ensure it stays switched on.

Will this be solved by cleaning the carb too? Next week, I plan on changing my plug, changing the air filter and cleaning and tuning the carb again. Also need to change the head gasket as head is leaking a little oil.

To clean the oil filter, we need to remove the right side engine cover(please tell me the technical term for it!). Do we need to replace the gasket when we try to fit it back? Also, do we need any special glue to paste the gasket?

I would also like to know how to tighten the chain. In particular, how to ensure nuts on both sides are turned equally?

My Hunk reaches 112 quite easily. But anything beyond that needs crouching.

                  Hey Guys,

Just got my bike serviced yesterday at 19400 kms, All necessary things have been done like change of Spark Plug, Air Filter, Alloy alignment, Engine oil change, Greecing of Swing arm rod, Handle bar main rod and all other parts where it requires after some time, Brake works also have done and now it is working fine.

One thing I wanted to know from you guys that SVC guy suggested me to done engine flash also as its completed almost 20000 kms, I have done it at 10000 kms aswell and thought no use of it they says it cleanse the carbon from all the way where petrol travel inside the carb and engine, Does it rally required after some 10k kms...?

One more thing I have got resat my front wheel as air was leaking from a joint (from alloy and the tyre), Engg told me to maintain the air pressure 35 PS even in from wheel and 40 at rear to avoid such leakage, Is he correct, what tyre pressure do you guys maintain in your wheels?

Engine Flush you mean. I found this link:

Says it's not required in modern engines. And 35 and 40 is too high IMO. I also believe your braking efficiency decreases as there is lesser of the rubber on contact with the road.

Spot on. I maintain the same pressure. Although the manual does suggest 29 and 33.

Can you tell me which other bikes use the same Nissin single piston caliper, so that I could purchase the minor kit from there.
Please help me out, because as of now only front brakes are working in my bike.
My Never ending woes for repairing rear disc brakes continues as I could not find the Minor Kit in the whole Karol Bagh Market . So, I had to put back the same old piston and seal set back. HH is providing rear disk brakes in popular bikes like ZMR and xtreme, but service kit is not available. Instead the customer is forced to buy whole caliper set for a minor leak problem!! This is really pathetic
Finally I ordered following parts from HH SVC :
                        1. 06451-MA7-405- SEAL SET
                        2. 43107-MA7-006- PISTON
These 2 parts costed me Rs. 512.00 and it'll take 10-12 days to ship.
For other manufacturers such as Bajaj or TVS, Major and Minor kits are easily available in market.
But the HH SVC guys were not even aware about the minor kit Is this the quality of service which should be expected from HH??
Attached is the image of Minor kit for your reference.

                          Hello all,
Went on a ride today[~250kms]. Weather is beautiful here in Hyderabad now[Pics here:http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/xbhp-off...ml#post954992]. Since we were expecting lots of rain, I over-filled the tyres by 3-4 PSI. Now, today while riding I noticed that my bike was doing following speeds[opposed to ones I am seeing since my first kms, after first service i.e]
                          4.7k- 60KMPH [5K rpm]
                          5k- 67KMPH[5.7rpm]
                          5.7k-70KMPH[never noticed before]
                          What's wrong? Normal hai yeh?
Second servicing due this 14th...dint finish 3k kms, but almost reaching that 90 days from previous service date.
