Got the oil leaking problem fixed.. [emoji2] got a self taping oversized drain bolt fixed it myself and now there is no leak..
But a doubt still remains.. Will it last long? Or it will get loose on few oil changes?

Thanks psr sir for your suggestion
So, if both the cam sprockets are OK then there is no need to replace them along with a new timing chain.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes you don't replace what is not broken or off spec...

Thanks again psr Sir!
Actually I was thinking on the lines of drive chain replacement, in which both the sprockets and the chain are replaced as a set. If only drive chain is replaced, then the old sprockets will eat away the new chain.
But this does not applies to cam/timing chain, where we can replace only the timing chain if needed.

The rattling sound coming from engine is indeed the timing chain noise, since I got both the tappets adjusted in the last servicing only. Have confirmed the same from my mechanic as well.
This time I'll try the Rolon timing chain instead of OE one.

Last week I took my Hunk for servicing (paid). Now many of you would advice me against it as I do to members here. Having said that, my service center allows me to supervise the complete work to my satisfaction and hence the decision. Still, I had some issues - more on that in my later posts.

While servicing, the mechanic found that the part in the below pic, (circled in red) was 'open'.

I believe it is some kind of a sensor(?) I don't know since how long was that open. Maybe many months coz last time I had changed my clutch wire was way back in Oct last year! What is this part? How critical is it for proper functioning of the motorcycle?
BTW - I am consistently getting mileage above 55kmpl. The performance is very good. No issues whatsoever. I am using Veedol 10w40 super swift for the past 2 refills. (I recently drained it at 3000kms). The oil is pure gold. Very smooth shifts and I highly recommend it during summers. Winters and other seasons, go for Veedol 10w30 with eyes closed. Haven't used Gulf so can't comment on it.

Next change at high altitudes - Veedol 10w30 Take Off 4T premium.

Man thats TPS , throttle point sensor , very very important without it bike wont start and have bad performance , are you sure it was out ? A loose one will make same kinda problems you mentioned before , bike wont start at times and have poor performance . Its good that you rectified it otherwise you might have run into deeper problems. I cant exactly but its integral sensor which gives sharp throttle response and stable firing at various rpm ranges . Good thing was you didnt take it out otherwise we need to reprogram the TPS

That is what I was surprised at the first place. Never ever did I face any performance lag/starting issues when it was not connected. It is like a plug insert. Even I was shocked on find that it was disconnected. :O

One of my friend is going to buy a bike.
His requirements are
1.It should be 150 cc
2.Good mileage (atleast 40kmpl)
3.No need for split seats(He want to travel with his mother)
4.Smooth engine
5.Good handling
The shortlisted bikes by our friends are
1.Honda Unicorn
2.Hero Hunk
Eliminated xtreme due to the split seats and he didn't liked the 2014 model xtreme with single seat.
Actually all other friends suggested Unicorn over Hunk ( I dont know what is the reason. when i asked them they said they dont know the reason but they love Uni.. [emoji12])
I am the only one with love towards Hunk..

So friends which will you suggest?? Unicorn or Hunk?
Also specify the reason for the choose..

Good options any day. If he's inclined towards comfort - let him go with unicorn
If he's more concerned about styling and a minor margin of performance, its Hunk.

Both will give mileage above 45 and Unicorn has an upper hand as it can give ~55kmpl

PS: Mine is 2011 CBZ and the new xtreme is design is awkward IMO

both the bikes quality are same. they differ only in few aspects.
Unicorn for better mileage and Hunk for better acceleration.
moreover unicorn is pure commuter style but hunk is bit of sporty feel comparatively.
but when pillion is concern, i would say hunk due to dual rear shocks. unicorn has mono suspension which is better for single.
Hunk will give you the initial punch which is missing in unicorn. on the other hand, unicorn has relaxed engine and hence one step smoother that hunk.
let me know for clarification. i have done lots of research before buying my HUNK.

IIRC TPS manages the switch between the ignition maps stored in the CDI. It will not cause any starting issues.
If the tps is disconnected, the cdi will run on the initial default map and not switch to the other map/maps depending on the throttle position.
If you have been riding sanely (looking at the mileage you have reported, looks like you do) , you wouldnt have noticed any degradation in 'performance' & a disconnected tps shouldnt cause any engine damage.
