Get a compression check done , Power loss in hills is a symptom of compression loss. Also other bikes deliver power at lower rpms compared to xtreme, keep revs above 4k and it will pull sufficiently. Post a pic of spark plug meanwhile, so that we can rule out other possibilities.

+1 to what Divya and Rohiit has said.
You shouldn't wait for engine to loose the juice when on an incline. Upshift early and be in the power band (above 4k rpm) .
FZ has more low end torque and hence the difference I believe.
If the engine is in the power band, Hunk/Xtreme will fly

Both Xtreme and Hunk are short geared bike, there shouldn't be any issue in climbing up, but at what speed did you start climbing up ? u cant expect it to pull when u start at low revs, in that case any bike would suffer and needs to revv more except if it has monster low end torque. the other riders might have started the climb at good speed and hence they were able to climd without any issues. but yes hunk/extreme is a high revv machne compared to fz and hence it has upper hand at top end..

Hill (depends on inclination) or flyovers pulling in 3rd or 4th gear must not be problem, if the ascend is started at more than 5000 RPM.
Also, depends on usage of the clutch.
If above is not the problem, then you must probably get the clutch plates changed if the RPM is steadily increasing but the bike does not match the acceleration.

I noticed this on my 2009 Xtreme which was used by my cousin for over an year (I was out of country). He used to always clutch in mid position (not completed engaged or disengaged) which caused premature wear of clutch plates. Once these were changed, no issues.

              Hi Guys

Thank you all for for your responses. From the your replies, i understand that to get good torque i need to start at 4k RPM. Does this mean i should accelerate much in the 1st gear? Does is cause more wear/tear or performance drop?

But sometimes during cold weather, i feel my bike pulls well and engine sound is also smooth.

Suitable RPM to change gear on Xtreme is 3500-4000RPM.
Wear and tear will be always there in mechanical things, but better usage will decrease the rate of wear and tear.

Yes during cold weather, all the bikes run little smooth because of cooler air which help in better combustion.

As for your problem i can, from video clearly deduce that the rockers, camshaft, and timing chain all are running, dry. It can be clearly heard from head. There is nothing special in it. If those mechanics cannot hear it then they are dumb and not fit for repairing bikes.

I have for this reason always respected my mechanic as he listens to me and even suggests me better ideas on hearing me.

And regarding i am always correct then yeah sometimes when you have years of experience you automatically get the uncanny habit of getting to the roots of the problem in one go.

And what is the use of my knowledge when i do not help others. Knowledge is for helping others. If i do not share my knowledge, no need of gaining knowledge. I study a lot even now on automobiles. I try to get whatever i can.

And i am glad that many like minded persons are my friend.

But sadly my knowledge has no values. At least in india. May be if i would have been a country like germany which i known for its automobiles, i may have been able to put use to my brain and knowledge.
I am waiting for the the time when my knowledge will get its value.

Ashwin has said much. You are new to this thread. Go through all the pages and read the posts. Pay special attention to my posts. You will get to know a lot.

You are new, let the craziness slowly build up. No mechanics will get your bike to top condition. You yourself can. Case with aswin. He followed my advice which none of mechanics agreed.

Result is in front of your eyes.

                    Updates on my bikes:-

My bike engine has been overhauled and tyres have been changed. As usual overhaul was as per my specs a complete and meticulous overhaul. Better than factory engine with tighter clearance.

The front tyre was changed to ceat secura zoom and rear zapper Q. The rear is from mrf nv series and according to mrf website it is a radial tyre.

Total cost came to Rs. 13000.

                    Will post in details soon.
This time no photo. But a complete video of engine overhaul.

Though sound is not clear enough, it could be Tappets, Loose Timing Chain or Play in the connecting rods.
Better get it checked with good mechanic.

After changing Shaft comp cam and Rocker arm valve. Now the sound is gone.

My bike cbz xtreme 2012 model and 26000 kms done feels like I'm driving a stock bike. There is no freeness in the engine compared to other xtremes in my location. Used gulf pride 20w40 for last two years and now running on motul 5100 15w50. Afr is on 1.5 turns. Spark plug is checked by hero asc mechanic and its fine. New air filter fitted a month ago. Told the asc mechanic about the problem he said it differs from engine to engine. Pls help. And is it possible to fit a kick start in my bike ?

                            Can you try below points..
                            1. Warmup engine for atleast 1 min with 2000 rev before your first ride in morning.
                            2. Maintain low speed atleast for 2 kms during your first ride in day.

These two make huge difference in smoothness in engine throughout entire day. This is my personal exp.

Other than that, it varies bike to bike. Always fill 10w-30 grade engine oil, not more than that.

For the last four and half years I've always maintained what you have pointed. First two and half years of my ride I've used 10w30 grade various engine oils. But with these oils engine feels very stressed if I put a few more kms in my odo. Even if I ride for 25 to 30 kms continuously with a speed of 30-50 in the city bike behaves in a strange way. Gear shifting became horrible. Bike can't pull effortlessly. Only the Honda oem 10w30 oil I found a little bit better among others. And by the way can I fit a kick starter in my bike ? Thanks.

In my experience always stick with hero 10w30.i have done 45000km and I found stock oil is the best for optimum performance.
