In city try shifting within 4 K and do not exceed 60....On a ZMA I shift in city at 3 K and mostly do 60 Kmph and I get 32 to 34 kms....So hopefully you should average 40+ with this pattern....Originally posted by anush View PostWhen Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

UPDATE: mostly with a rider of 100kg and a pillion of 90kg.

Thanks PSR i'll do as you told and report here but still isn't it a poor mileage. I'm saying this because me and 2 other in there bikes r15 and rtr160 had been to a short trip(around 130km round trip) and i got the lowest mileage(32) even after riding slower than them and those 2 were almost racing and got r15(38) and rtr(45) mileageLast edited by anush; 05-01-2011, 09:30 AM.First think you are special then work towards proving it.

Changed oil yesterday @ 400 km. Used Caltex Havoline SAE 10W30 SJ. It's a 1 ltr pack. Aneesh@4GHz told to use 900 ml. I told the svc guy to use 900 ml, but he forgot and poured the full pack. Will the extra 100ml do any harm to my hunk?
The changes i feel are engine sound changed from lite to heavy, Ride becomes smother and gear shifting a little softer than before (still on harder side thou).

And one more thing when i ride above 80 and reduce throttle to slow down the bike gives a jerk like a sudden pick up just for a moment and sometimes while accelerating also there are jerks like misfires.First think you are special then work towards proving it.

What are the problems caused by higher engine oil level?
heard that oil seals go wrong ,is it true?

100 ml of 1Liter capacity is 10% which will be tolerated by the engine.More than this will load on the oil pump,and internals.Oil circulates under pressure and more oil will have less space to move around and pressure build up inside engine is not good...you will have oil coming out of the breather , and since pressure is more all oil seals will be stressed.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View Post@psr
