Engine oil DISAPPEARED :O
Hi guys,
today encountered a strange problem. I was riding from risikesh to my home town (Distance ~100 Km ). In the mid of my journey i found my engine to be slghtly heavier i mean loss of power and excessive sound, gears became harder to shift... i thought i shud chek my engine oil, and wen i did.i was lik Holy ***, engine oil level was almost on minimum level. i had filled oil @ around 900 Km, current reading 1300 km,i cant find any valid reason for this.. i somehow topped it up and managed to reach my home safely but one thing i m xtremely worried about how can so much of oil consumed.i checked properly no sign of leakage at all...

@ ANish : one good news though ,i m currently getting mileage of arund 50 KMPL :O, went to a local mechanic and he tuned my carb very precisely so that it doesnt affect the performence side. I m getting betther throttle response as well as higher FE.. before dis i was getting around 38 Kmpl...

1. Did you check when the bike was on side stand?
2. Are you sure that oil was at correct level before?
there is only 2 ways for oil to decrease
1. Get burned
2. Leak.First think you are special then work towards proving it.

Check sparkplug too.

Hi guys,
1300Km on the odo till now, The suspension awesome smooth and brakes are spot on.
Getting mileage of 48-52 kms, driving only in city. But the engine became little rough after 1service at 500 Kms, changing the oil to shell 3000v 20w40 at around 700Km only made the engine smooth till 900km and later again felt the engine rough.
Checked the spark plug, looked perfect. is it because of improper carburetor tuning during service?
Not a big issue but this is the only problem i am facing with the bike though no drop in mileage.

:P Dats exactly wat happened wid me :P...sorry to bother u folks but my dad checked in evening and he confirmed dat everything is fine just check urself after putting on main stand and i was glad to see level was more than 50% above MIN. but i was facing engine sound in IDLE ,i mean wen i started my bike its sound was different wat its used to be few days ago,then i realized that water has entered in the chain compartment and dats the culprit for that harsh sound,have lubeed it yesterday,havent ride since then.will check today for any improvements.. He didnt open the Carb Front Cover,from the back side there was a screw (AFAIK it must b FUEL SCREW) he turned it Clockwise (As we all know to make mixture LEANER) and after than... it just clamb to around 50.. i almost emptied my tank last time.filled 4.5 Lts then,tripmeter is showing 190KM and its still not reserveOriginally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostNice,ask him what he had done to your bike,so that others can follow the same and will get high mileage on their bike.

Remove the spark plug using the Spark Plug Removal tool in the tool box provided in your bike and check the color of the Spark plug ,If its dark,then its rich,If it is a whitish color ,then its lean and if its a tan color,a light brown,then its the optimal setting.Aneesh plz tell k how to check whether my mixture is not too lean so dat it doesnt affect my engine life. I m not facing any strange issues like gear slip,knocking etc... engine temp is as normal as before ...
