Thanks for your reply bro. But there is still a question in my mind (please don't take it offensive personally) that -"why not to worry ?" because my logic behind my worry is - take humans as an example, if we can't exhale properly we can't breathe properly & thus will have much difficulty in doing our daily work , similarly our bike's would also behave the same & will show lag in power OR the engine may take the toll.
Note: Till now I am not seeing any problem in riding like that, but yet the question is in my mind.

Dent is pretty ignorable, not to any significant extent to hinder the flow.

          • There seems to be some paint scaling off and discolouration at the base of the monoshock suspension, the silver part, where we twist it to adjust suspension.(Sorry, forgot to take pic).I showed at the SVC,they said its normal.Obviously they are trying to evade,as usual. My Fazer is around 6 months old and hence shouldn't this fall under warranty?

Tyre shops here fitting 130 profile PSD on FZ saying they are the equivalent for 140/60. I was like WTH. 130/80 and 100/80 PSD available here in plenty.

Tuffgrip got really good feedbacks and available in plenty and pretty cheap too.
Great bro.... I think I will go for Pirelli. Just one question what is the normal tyre pressure to be maintained for a person like me (150 kgs). Because the puncture shop wala is suggesting to keep 45 psi. Kindly advise.

guess in Chennai there is a place called GP Road and there you can find Pirelli SD 140/70/R17....cost 5400...my friend has got it done from there itself...

                  • I wasn't visiting the forum for last few days..and when i returned i noticed some debate is going over mileage between indians and other...

I am from Nepal and here situation is similar to india..Price of petrol is high and sometimes due to strike you have to stay on 3 hours quie just for 5 litres of gas.Sometimes you might have got millions in your pocket but will run out of gas If you dont get it from black market just simply because because on every gas station you will see notice board OUT OF GAS.
So why should anyone have problem if anyone want to run some more miles with what he has got in his tank.He has got his own problem and you should better help him his way.

All right let me ask you a question...Is there any difference in mileage between fz16 and fzs.I am getting an average 0f 30 but my friend who is still in engine breaking gets 40+.I did a little research and came to know only difference between them is carburator and little bit of torque figure.

FZ-16, FZ-S and Fazer are identical bikes.
                      The only differences are cosmetic.

Regarding your question on mileage: Its difficult to say without knowing other details like differences in the riding style, service history etc.
Hard riding results in low mileage. There are other factors such as carb settings (rich or lean AFR)?? Or whether the idle RPM is high??
                      Even tyre pressure affects mileage.

You maybe riding her hard while your friend might be pampering his bike

So you need to mention those before ppl here can suggest anything

                      Cheers!

                        • Does anyone else think there are too many lords on the same street ?

Shifted to Mangalore from Mysore, and the number of fz/fzs here is suprisingly high, even in my friends circle there are 4 fz's!

How's the situation in your city ?

It's same here in Kerala. You can see more number of FZ-s than other bikes in the 150-180 cc segments but I have to say Pulsar made a great market in our state because Yamaha was too late in presenting it's soul winner.

It's a daily scene for me seeing few guys gather around my bike and have a discussion about her, I feel like I'm in top of heaven.

Even though my favorite bike is Duke 200, I don't think it's practical to have a bike which is almost 40% costlier than FZ and just ride at the most 10kms in city driving conditions.

I'm very much happy with the babe.

                              • Race Concepts FFE

i had long been waiting to get, experience and play around to write a brief review of the product.

the good part of this latest FFE is,its more suited for the bike.
                                • the oil drain nut is not hindered
                                • main stand issue is sorted

                                but on the downside,
                                • the exhaust touches the rear swing arm and literally scratches on it over every bump and same for the rear brake cable.

Joel should have either put spacers or bend the welded part away from the swingarm

                                pros
                                • cheaper and value for money option for a well researced FFE
                                • looks plush with logo and blends well with the bike
                                • gain in revs at every gear
                                • mild increase in FE(3-5%) even in heavy revvings
                                • beautiful thumper sound at lower revs
                                • the chrome after a good clean looks all shiny and no signs of rusting till date.
                                • very light compared to original exhaust

                                cons
                                • chrome attracts a lot of dirt on long rides
                                • no insulation on exhaust and so have to be careful during and after a ride.
                                • some back firing(might have to adjust A-F ratio)

i havnt recieved the db killer yet and so cant comment on the difference in sound or revv friendliness.
Our bikes can go from 0 - Stupid in less than "I wonder if this will be a good idea"
