Nice DIY Buddy.Originally posted by kauria View PostHere is my trailer made mobilepouch for FZ. This case is made of waterproof materials with two adjustableties for fixing it in the handlebar. Tested the item in some bad road and seemsperfect for long rides. Also installed ROOTS make mobile charger in my bike. Itis directly connected through the bike battery, I didn’t use any switch to onor off the charger, instead I installed a simple fuse box to connect anddisconnect the loop. Previously I was planning to buyone Capdase mobile holder for my bike, but the cost is really high, so I planto make this pouch, which is really good to protect the phone from dust andrain. Hope you all like it.Here are some pictures.

Good stuff buddyOriginally posted by Kavit View PostChanged the position of num plate. I personally dont like the num plate on screen and putting the sticker on front mudguard or on wind screen is not legal.
Also in near future the High Tech num plate is going to be installed so changed the position and feeling more of legalized

I agree with you about it not looking so good the way it comes. What you've done is nice.
How did you fit it on though? Did you use clamps from another bike or get them custom made or what?

I made simple design in my workshop
I hook it to headlight adjusting bolt which is easiest to open and clamp. It is held by one side onlyBiker is not recognised by its byk but love for his byk

I'd suggest you take some more pics of this while doing this again if its not very troublesome for you and show how you made the connections etc and post this in the DIY forum.
Cheers!!Your pair of feet can tire you... Your pair of wheels can never tire you...

Nice mod..but the plate is more towards the bike's right side. Secondly,I think the front mudguard would most probably hit the plate if ur bike goes over a very deep bump.Originally posted by Kavit View PostChanged the position of num plate. There is also a thread with the discussion for the same:

The only problem that has been mentioned by rider diffuser911 in the thread above is that the charging pins are compatible with Nokia phones only. Kauria can verify if he was supplied any adapters to allow charging for Blackberry, Samsung thick pin, Iphone connectivity for charging.
@ Kauria: Mate from the pics it looks like you have a zipper in the front which can allow water to percolate inside the bag thereby potentially damaging your phone. Check it out and see how can you make it water proof.

Hey bro, can you please explain, how you did that. Secondly does it hit the front mudgrard under tight breaking. Some close photo will do good for us.Originally posted by Kavit View PostChanged the position of num plate. Yes, now ROOTs chargers comes with six type of different pins for Nokia New thin & old fat pin, Samsung, LG, SE & USB. No IPhone support yet. Secondly this pouch has a small zip and I think it can handle the drizzle easily (yet to test), it is not meant for heavy shower at leastOriginally posted by shv18 View PostIndeed a good mod mate. It is too much to expect all this from an under 100 rupees product.

There is another charger from ideaForge, which is also good & similar to the Roots product. You can buy it online.Originally posted by shv18 View PostThe only problem that has been mentioned by rider diffuser911 in the thread above is that the charging pins are compatible with Nokia phones only. For waterproofing you can use vegetable wrap, worked perfectly for my camera. At high speeds it won't come out unless wrapped poorely.Last edited by abhijitkn; 11-20-2012, 01:19 PM.

Hi Sathish,Originally posted by sathishholla View PostGuys,
Has anyone tried installing the new seats (with the wider pillion seat) of FZs on the old ones ? By what I have seen, I understand that the entire back portion including the handle bars of the Bike may need to be replaced. Tired of complaints about the pillion seats of my FZ.
Other alternative is that you can modify the seat instead. Here you go. Photo as below:
