Its kind of ok but I couldnt feel the handling capability that I was expecting.I always felt like I am missing something because of this tyre.

Any way do you think your current tyre is heavier than the stock one. The yamaha mechanic says the stock tyres are really low weight. They are lighter than 120/80 section tyres.
Yes, you are right. The tyre is heavier than stock. The bike is a good handler itself and the tyre does effect handling. With a rear tyre which is more in height the centre of mass shifts, also some more weight is on the front tyre now. I am not having any issue with handling, may be because of monoshock setting. Try changing yours. I dont know what is mine's, it is stock setting from inception. People riding at 100 km/hr or above on well laid out roads should stay away from the deep grooved hard tyres like these. You will not like the vibrations if you have tasted the smoothness of stock tyres at these speeds. If i intend to go out of city, I would keep 32 psi air in these, i.e 20% less. Right now it is 40!

Spark Plug: Changed just about a month ago, don't know the when it was last replaced or it was ever changed since 3 years
Clutch Plates: I'm yet to find out if this is causing any problem as I have not specifically been told or told the mechanic to change Clutch plates
Engine Oil: Oil was changed a few months ago.
Chain-Sprocket: This was changed two years ago.

Overall the KMS done doesn't match to the equal age of the parts changed so i'm not definitely sure.

I'm going to work on the throttle idle and fuel driver to fix the performance but my doubt still remains, is it time to change the bore? at 6k RPM i can see white smoke coming out of exhaust.

The piston rings have gone kaput, open the cylinder and check physically.

If you haven't maintained the bike properly, you might have to check many components. As you have mentioned that, chain sprocket was changed 2 years ago, have you regularly cleaned an lubed it at 500kms interval? If not, don't expect the parts to work life long.

Also, it solely depends on how you ride and maintain it. If a bike has not been maintained properly, the bike can go kaput at any point of time irrespective of kms covered or from the day you have purchased it.

Bharaths.. White smoke means engine oil is entering the combustion chamber. Piston rings might be worn out.

Ride safe and have fun.

I might shock you if i say that I did not even do one bit of maintenance myself on the bike other than cleaning & riding, just gave to service center or mechanic whenever i thought it was required to do, but now i'm completely trying to get this sorted out and been doing my own investigation on the bike which my mechanic has failed to address the issues, I'm not skilled enough to open cylinder to check physically but i have noted down the things i'm going to get it rectified and thats where i'm going to start.

If i give it to service center, would they understand only the rings need to be changed or piston as well or is it package of Bore, piston, rings?

Since the mechanic isn't good to figure out your issue, visit a good SVC and they will surely help you. Don't open things that you aren't aware of.

Get the cylinder block, piston rings, clutch plates, chain sprocket checked.

Get things done physically infront of you.

Check with bangalore folks for good SVC in your locality.

Normally I use Motul 5100 with a drain frequency of 2500-2600kms. Last change I could not get Motul 5100 from my regular vendor as they were out of stock and I was close to 2600 kms. They offered me Motul 3100 20W50 and told me this is the new oil that comes in the FZS. Since they were the authorised agents for Motul merchandise. I brought it

The oil is really good in terms of performance. The engine feels rev friendly and in top speed it was butter smooth no much vibes than usual. I found the gear change to be little hard towards the end of 2000 kms. Normally I will check the level of the oil every week. The level was ok and I don't top up new old to the old oil as long as the oil level is within limits. So at 2000 kms I decided to change to Motul 5100 as it was available. When I drained the Oil I found it to be less so I poured the old oil into Motul 5100 can as it has the measurement reading available in the side. To my surprise it was only about 450ml But normally with 5100 it will about 800-750ml. Is it normal experts please advise.

And Yesterday I bought Wurth chain spray which I have been searching for sometime. it is available in Yamaha SVC but they are not for sale. Then Yesterday I found them in Shell petrol bunk.

I drove about 90 kms. It is still too early to comment on it but there is no chain noise and is smooth will post remarks after about 300 kms.

Started my bike after 5 days and had no problems till I rode about 3 Km to the local store and then when I tried self start it just wouldn't start , push started my bike and it started easily as I just pushed about a metre or two with me on the seat . I thought the battery will get charged on its own but even after riding 12-15 Km , no response .. self start isn't working , battery not charging . The horn sounds loud as usual , lights also fine .
What are best options for a new battery , MF battery ? All lights and rest of the electricals are stock , no modifications yet . Please suggest which battery would be the best .

Are brake pads wearing out the only reason the noise comes from the rear drums when used ? I had changed mine at 20k KMs and they were pretty much worn out. 5k on the new set and the noise has come back. My braking is 90% disc and 10% rear. Also the noise comes only after the bike had been idle for a while i.e. only in the first 2-3kms of the ride. After that there's no sound. What could be wrong ?

Sometimes when there is moisture present inside the pads, it causes noise and vanishes as soon as the brake pads heat up.
Try rubbing the drum with sandpaper (have seen svc mechs do that to make the drum smooth) and see if it helps.
