Just don't keep the bike on a single RPM for long, that's the gist of the matter here.

Thanks, actually this is my first bike and also the first time I am riding a bike so had some confusion.
    Thanks for your advice.

Sticky stuff is float bowl overflow, since you say that you have got it cleaned it a lot of times & mechanics have fiddled too much. Maybe float pin not correctly placed.

And went back and read your posts. Rebore, huh ? Please consider the possibility of the re-bore not having been done properly at all.
Also, have you checked/changed clutch plates even once yet ?

I have changed twice so far, clutch feels great. However am planning to check out with a different Mech. I went to the Yamaha service other day , all the mechanics were freshers Thank you for replying . I will update once I check in with the new Mech

I just changed the oil in my bike at 11680km because it was marking low on the dipstick and I didn't have more oil, but 1150cc came out, why the dipstick was reading low?

My fz16 is of 2009 model and have clocked 120000 kms. She has undergone 2 block and piston change, clutch plate change and n numbers of chain sprocket change. Now my query is will it be okey if I bore up to 200 or more cc at this stage as I am planning to convert it to a light duel or dirt bike.

Hi. I own yamaha fz16. Run about 45k kms. I have to change engine oil as I have reached 3k kms since last change. I'm confused about which one to choose from motul, yamahalube or shell adavnce AX7 10w40. Previously I used shell adavnce AX7 10w40.

I have FZS 2.0 . I am using Motul 5100 - 15W50. No problems so far. Better change at 2000 km

                      Hi Guys.

I am new to xbhp and it is great to be part of this forum. I own an fz16 which is one year old and has done close to 7100 km. For the 1st birthday of my bike i decided to reward her with some modifications. Got a new headlight bulb (Osram Rallye 40/45w) and also got led parking bulb. I also got an led fog light which is yet to be mounted on the bike. I purchased the fog light online from Amazon and the seller forgot to pack the mounting clamp along with the light. I would like to know from where i can get the light fitted on my bike in Bangalore. I tried some local workshops. But they are refusing to do the job.

JC road in Bangalore. They are good in modification jobs.

I may be a tad bit late. But the service center identified it to be the relay part and replaced it.It works great now!

                            Hi
I have a little problem with my bike, at 11k a noise start from the top left side of the cylinder , at first I thought it was the valve clearance, i check them and it wasn't that, now i think is the decompresor. How can i fix that? How can i know for sure is that?

                            Thanks

Sir i guess the main culprit is cam-chain and cam-chain tensioner, get them inspected at ASC. The decompressor unit does not goes bad this quick. Even get the tappets checked at ASC if they might be loose and are making noise.

The weirdest thing is that the noise is very, very intermittent, one day only with cold engine, next day when is hot, and sometimes start after a few km and then disappear.
