    Nice bike mate.
I see you have the Sinobi sprocket set. Do you have the front sprocket installed also?
Can you measure the gap from the swingarm and the chain (where the rubber chain guard is ontop of the swingarm at the swingarm pivot point) from the chain to the swingarm.

I have a alloy swingarm but the chain cuts the alloy. I'm looking at re-installing it if I can get enough chain clearance.

      Thank you
Yes, I use the Sinnob Sprocket Set.. ( Front and Rear Sprocket + Sinnob's Chain )
I'm sorry mate, but My FZ currently using aftermarket aluminium swing arm which is bulkier than the standart one. But I find no issues installing the sprocket set But I'll still measure it out for you tomorrow.

I have read about System-G and it says to pour 1 ml/litre of petrol. How do mean to use this. How many litres of petrol I must fill to pour this liquid. Completely confusing.

          Thanks mate, Really appreciate it.

I was using the factory sprockets and every day I had to clean the rubber off the chain, front and rear sprockets.
I put on a 15t engine sprocket and still the (custom) chain was cutting the Alloy swingarm after it cut through the rubber chain guard. I'd like to put the alloy arm back on but I would need to use teflon (cutting board for food) for a chain guardchain guard as the rubber is worn out.

After you've put some kms on it can you let us know if you have any problems with the alloy swingarm with your sprockets.

I have a new modification project for my FZ16 but, more on that later
            Welcome, Stanly!

Veeeery nice looking bike, bro, with these bright orange touch-ups. I like the rear disc (every FZ owner should have one, like I have too) and the super-calipers on both brakes.

Concerning your plans for future mods, may I warn you against automotivepartsshop, run by your fellow countryman Aryono Adigunawan: better be far than close! Both Mad Mik and myself have been victims of his lies, incompetencm and wrong-doings. I know that divulging this information may not be liked by the moderators here, but I ask them to let us warn any FZ user against this danger.

As you may see one page earlier, I have had a major mod done on my own bke, and am extremely happy of the result (that includes a few parts received from Haryono, that I was lucky were usable: the rest: to the bin!). I shall be happy to share with anyone who wishes any extra information or details, as well as the performance results once the running in will be done (raining too much for a nice ride, right now!). Mad Mik too has his engine modded to 200cc.

I do not know if such mod is what you plan maybe, and it could be reprehensible that I recommend doing the one I did, as it will undeniably not only reduce the engine lifetime, increase gas consumption, but also the level of danger! What I can say, however, is that it is awesome!!!

Let us follow on your other mods, and Enjoy!

Mmmmmhhhh....going back to primary school there (sorry mate!):
If one liter of gas is to be mixed with one ml (=milliliter = 1 cm3) of this product, how many milliliters have to be mixed with ten liters? How many with eight, five, twelve liters, etc...etc...?

I don't want to offend you by giving the result....

Want to see you with battery low, on a beach after some nice evening with the light of the bike (maybe you're too "reasonable" for that?), or on a muddy road, or else that forbids you to push-start: you will LOVE to be able to kick-start, then!

The only reason why there is no kick-starter on bigger bikes is that one would not be able to start against the compression. On the 153cc. FZ: it is child's play.

                  • @Luke,

I have read that System-G is used in cars regularly and I know the exact amount to be poured, that's not the issue with me.

I was asking shiv18 about using System-G once in a bluemoon after 5k ODO.

I just wanted to know how often and that too with how much litre of petrol?

I also wanted to ask if there are any side-effects.

Since my car has already done 5K ODO, I'm going to use this regularly with the car but I'm completely confused about the once in bluemoon thing.

                    Anyways shiv18 will help.

                    • Hi

My FZ-S clocked 20k in odo (going to do PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE by this weekend).
Thanks to shv18 and raj157 for the suggestions

Now I'm facing the below issue but couldn't figure out the root cause.

For the past one week, when I release the clutch its taking sometime (around 5 secs) to respond (accelerate) and also the engine sound is bit different. I'm afraid of revving the ride, just maintaining below 5k...

Please let me know the root cause so that I will add it to my Maintenance list before going to SVC.

                      Thanks in advance.

This could be the subject of a whole new thread, perhaps in association with "Mad Mik" since we both had to suffer the lies, incompetence and wrongdoing from the same "supplier" (automotivespartsshop/ Haryono Adigunawan, in Indonesia) but essentially since we both have our FZ's in 200 cc now! Would we start this new thread, and would the moderator accept such a modification that is far from recommendable, we would certainly have to call it: "the (bumpy) road to FZ 20"!!!

But WOW! that pushes well, anyway!

Having ridden Mik's bike, which was on the road with its conversion done before mine, I must say that our bikes are very different, as mine, which is less extreme, pushes regularly from 2k rpm with superb torque - MUCH more than previous 153cc - and obviously wants to let the horse free once reaching 5k. rpm....but the bike is still running-in (NO "Motoman" method!) and I treat it gently. Have been shortly wide open throttle, though, and going near 7k. rpm...mmmmmhhh!: that will be a goood and quick bike!

Mik's bike still needs tuning as it gives torque above 4/ 5k rpm only, which is not that surprising with his even bigger valves (29 - 34!)!

But you guys are certainly eager to know in more detail what has been done, right? Quite a lot, and more to come! Shortly:

                            - Original cylinder bored up from 58 to 66mm high tolerance = 200cc.
                            - TDR Racing 66mm. hi-comp. forged piston
                            - 29mm. Mikuni constant velocity carburetor (instead of original 27), with special attachment made in order to be able to fit the throttle position sensor
                            - Intake manifold inside diameter increased from 27 to 29 near carb., reducing to 28 at cylinder head intake port
                            - Intake port diameter enlarged from 26 to 28, with about 80% "throat" (= diameter 26/ 27) just before the valve guide, 28 again after .
                            - Original intake valve seat diameter increased from 26 to 28 (= maximum possible), three angles
                            - SD Racing intake valve diameter 30 instead of 28, with two angles
                            - Combustion chamber valve pockets reworked for better flow, and volume of combustion chamber increased to 19cc (stock=14cc) for compression ratio 10.5: 1 with high comp. piston (stock= 9.5 :1)
                            - NGK Iridium spark plug
                            - Exhaust valve SD Racing diameter 26.5 instead of 24, lightened and polished, two angles
                            - New valve seals
                            - Exhaust original valve seat diameter increased from 22 to 24 (= maximum possible), three angles.
                            - Exhaust port diameter increased form 21.5 to 24, with 80% throat after valve guide (= diameter 22.5), polished
                            - Custom made tuned exhaust header pipe (temporary= test)
                            - Akrapovic muffler for 200cc. engine (with adjustable db. killer set to maximum flow)
                            - Tungsten racing clutch springs

There was no need to adjust the valve spring height which was still near original (0.5mm more compression) due to slightly shorter stem length.

                            Still to be done:
                            - K7N air filter (flat= actually more area than the cone one)
                            - 15 teeth gearbox sprocket (from Pulsar)
                            - Redo exhaust header pipe in stainless steel, with longer radius lower bend and three stage diameter increase before muffler
                            - Most importantly: install oil cooler!

                            - IF (???) any can be found: dual band CDI, but that is really suited for this bike, including TPS information etc...
                            - Maybe (???): high lift Race Concepts camshaft, to increase valve curtain area: will ask Joel his opinion.

Dynamic compression is now 13 (stock= 12) measured with compression meter= perfect!

                            That's it, folks!
Will give you more reports and perhaps video later (and picture after cleaning my bike: had a heavy rain yesterday!)

How will it perform compared to Joel Joseph/ Race concept impressive 135 kmh and acceleration????....Will see!
Can you please tell me the mileage of your new engine Vs previous engine?

Also is the kick starter more difficult due to the extra 50cc?

How does this mod affect battery life? Will you be needing to replace the battery more often since you have a bigger engine now?

I am using System-G on my car for last 1-2 year. My car is now 50k on the ODO. Without System-G my car feel sluggish. (it may my assumption ).
But System-G only meant for clean the fuel injector of car.

I don't know how it will work with a carburetor bike .
Please enlight me if i am missing something.

                                Hi,

for system G, 5 ml per 10 ltr if i remember correctly... if you have bought the bottle.. first open the cap... squeeze the bottle a bit, the top hollow part of the bottle will fill up.. fill it to the brim..thats around 5ml.. its simple ...

Recommended interval is around every 7-10,000 kms. that should keep your tank and fuel lines free of dirt and gunk.. 1 bottle should last you for a good no. of kms. If i remember correctly, system G is a petroleum Detergent...

@KALINGA As per the Iftex, system G can be used both for FI and Carb based engines. Have been using it on my ride at times and it does work... No snake oil and crap..

                                Cheers,
